Peacocks, like emus and ostriches, are quite aggressive birds....the males are territorial and the females are super-protective of their nests...don't buy a cage unless you want the peacock to be seething in anger and hatred...they hate to be caged. But at the same time, you need to have high chain-link fenced backyard so that the peacock doesnt obliterate your neighbours and their yards... They will eat stuff like worms or small rodents but IMO, the biggest issue with the peacocks are its attitude...its NOT a friendly bird and it'd happily bite your finger off if its irked at you.Good luck
