Jackson, 50, was dressed in the Islamic garb as he pledged his allegiance to the Koran at a friend's house in Los Angeles. He sat on the floor as an Imam was called to officiate the ceremony. Jackson, who was raised a Jehovah's Witness, decided to convert after discussing religion with a music producer and songwriter on his new album - both of them converts to Islam. "They began talking to him about their beliefs and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea. The star decided to adopt the new religion while he was recording a song at the home of his friend where a Jehovah's witness was brought up to help him through the ceremony. Apparently the star of hits like 'the Way You Make Me Feel-was convinced by his producer and songwriter friends David Wharnsby and Phillip Bubal. The court of law of course does not take that into account, but the one up there gives some concession for genuine realization of guilt. Whether through Islam or any other religion, as long as a man finds the right way, its worth it.
