~ Miss Warner ~ Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 My personal Irritating XI: 1. McCullum (NZ) - Farce of a player who relies on nothing more than sheer luck. 2. Guptill (NZ) - See above. 3. Ryder (NZ) - See above. 4. Bell (ENG) - Always does well against AUS but terrible against everyone else, also boring. 5. Tendulkar (IND) - Most overrated cricketer of all time. 6. Clarke (AUS) - Is full of himself, causes a lot of fighting with team mates. 7. Franklin (NZ) - Farce of a player who relies on nothing more than sheer luck. 8. Afridi (PAK) - Arrogant, very self obsessed, his poses after taking wickets sum him up. 9. Lee (AUS) - Overated, got picked for a long time ahead of much better bowlers. 10. H.Singh (IND) - Arrogant self obsessed hypocrit... Disgusting person. 11. Muralitharan (SL) - Chucker, needed the rules bent just to allow him to claim illegal wickets.
~ Miss Warner ~ Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 ^^^^ Tendulkar more overrated than Warne ? I know it would be a fiery debate on the Indian cricket forum obviously, but in my opinion Tendulkar is extremely overated... People always drone on about his stats, but realistically he has played 70% of his innings on lifeless flat sub-continent wickets and has played 400000000 more matches than anybody else... That is why I think he is overated... Much the same as Muralitharan.
Khalpat Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Not in particular order but: Azhar Mahmood Nuwan Zoysa Aravind Desilva Punter Toffee Kumar

Sehwag1830 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Did I even mention Ponting...? No. So how can you call sub-continent wicket lifeless when the best Australian batsman of last 2 decades can't score run here.
yoda Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Ponting, Hayden, Symonds, M. Johnson, Watson, G. Smith, Andre Nel, Nasser Hussain, G. Swann, Whingakkara, Sohail Tanvir, Afretard, Khatmal, Dartbhajan.
~ Miss Warner ~ Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 So how can you call sub-continent wicket lifeless when the best Australian batsman of last 2 decades can't score run here. 1) Ponting isnt one of our best batsman in the last 2 decades. 2) They arent used to the lack of bounce and the turn. Lifeless dust bowls would be very easy to bat on when you play on them consistently. Our players dont have that luxury, they must play on seaming & swinging wickets. Tendulkar's average would be nowhere near what it is had he been forced to play on pitches like the Gabba, Bellerieve Oval & WACA all the time, and he certainly wouldn't have gotten close to 100 centuries, despite having played 100000000 more matches than anybody else.

Tendulkar averages 52 in Australia against Australian bowlers. If he had played SL, ENG , NZ bowlers in OZ he would have scored 100 centuries in less matches than Bradman .
PriyankaSR Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 And how did I forget Naseer hussain? :cantstop:
