I actually want us to beat N.Z. in N.Z. before we claim the no 1 ranking. I don't want India to rely on other teams to get us to the top Also if we beat N.Z., people would hopefully shut up about India's poor record overseas

Are you serious about this being our best ranking in ODI's ? I thought we might have touched this base during our WC march until that final :mad:. Only a series between India and RSA might settle the row of "who is number.1".

Rankings don't matter. We need to keep winning series and matches. Rankings will always depend on how everyone else is doing, its only relative.

Great. I will not wait for the no1 to be happy. I our team has done enough for us to be happy. So I am happy. I follow Dhoni's philosophy- just enjoy the game and success when it lasts. Bother too much about future and you will never be happy- especially for us fans who can not possibly make a difference to the future in any way. So lets just enjoy the moment.
