flamy Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I once saw him hit 4 sixes off the same ball. He hit the ball so hard that it circled the stadium 4 times and the umpire signalled six four times. stop putting false facts. if its true then give the proof. gambhir did take 3/12 once against a very strong zimbabwe team in 2002. u can even check the scorecard of that match on cricinfo & cricketarchive :omg::omg::omg::omg: :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: I am humbled! amits Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 it has been seen that after getting captaincy, most players irrespective of how effective part time bowlers they might be, tend to severely underbowl themselves. ganguly, used to bowl a lot under azharuddin, but after becoming captain, did not bowl that much. same happened with tendulkar & looks like dhoni is on his way to do something similar. dhoni, despite bowling at 130-135 kph, didnt bowl at all in this series as he happened to be the captain. if someone else would have been the captain, we might have seen dhoni bowl 4-5 overs even

spectre Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 i found out today only that gambhir bowls leg break:cantstop: lol.... I used to play Gauti as my second leg spinner on ICC Cricket captain game, only then i knew gambir could bowl leg spin :haha:
bharat297 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Dhoni as a 3rd pacer in Tests is THE STUPIDEST IDEA I HAVE HEARD So we want this guy to Bat, Bowl, Keep and Captain. Just coz he bowls 130 with a little bit of reverse swing does not make him a good bowler. I can bowl around 130 occassionally and get the ball to move around a bit, but that doesnt mean anything. DUMB IDEA ... HOPE NO ONE IN THE INDIAN CAMP IS TELLING HIM TO BE OUR 3RD PACER.
diegovegaz Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 gambhir and rahul dravid could bowl too laxman as well; got rid of mohd sami no reason, why dhoni shouldn't bowl he may be a bit erratic, but the pace is reasonable and he does get some movement he was denied a wicket as dinesh kaarthick messed on one such instance we should look forward to dhoni bowling much more........
diegovegaz Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 wat abt inzy nd punter ? :haha: in the border gavaskar trophy 2008 almost the entire australian team bowled except haddin and hayden, every single man on feild tried his bit to bowl at the indians was a spectacle of sorts
Lord Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 in the border gavaskar trophy 2008 almost the entire australian team bowled except haddin and hayden, every single man on feild tried his bit to bowl at the indians was a spectacle of sorts in our last ODI against lanka also 9 bowlers bowled except dhoni n gambhir

Mr. Wicket Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I wonder if @m1t$ will start a thread now asking why Jayawardene has been underbowling himself, as he got Faisal Iqbal out LBW yesterday?
