Chandan
So in total how many catches have been dropped today? I can remember three, one each by Yuvraj, Karthik and Dravid. Have anyone else been the culprit too? Link to comment

Chandan
Goodness me!! Why don't I read threads about Yuvraj's waning capabilities in fielding? Why are only Karthik, Dravid and Munaf blamed? And who is the genius who has kept Yuvraj at slips? We have three excellent slip fielders in Sachin, Dravid and Laxman! Link to comment

SachDan
Horrendous day in the field! Four dropped catches in a day's play..that too on a road ! OMG We have to pay for this badly :( Link to comment

Because slip is a specialist position and not everyone's cup of tea ? Why don't we have Ishant at slips then ...:giggle: Dravid is a liability because he cannot run in the outfield and he is clanging regularly at his supposedly strong position in slips. Sachin has a finger injury.. Link to comment
DomainK
Yuvraj is not a slip fielder. In the first catch he allowed his knee to come in the way and made it look like it was falling short. A specialist slip fielder would have instinctively dropped his knee to the ground thereby getting the palm underneath the ball. In the second one as well he got into a bad position. A slip fielder should be compact with minimum body movement. Balance is key in slip catching. He just does not belong there. he is best at point. Link to comment
EnterTheVoid
India without Dhoni is like a ship without a rudder. His mere presence galvanizes the team, gives them self belief and continues to motivate and inspire The BCCI should be held responsible for his ridiculous workload, essentially grinding him to the bone. Captain of the t20, ODI and test, wicket keeper, middle order batsman etc We contributed to our demise through all the dropped catches. All the edges that feel short or went through the slip cordon didn't help either  Link to comment
graphic23
This makes me wonder whats going on within the dressing room. Why isn't the coaching team notifying the slip cordon that its standing too far back? What else is the coach there for? Even during the last game, so many catches fell just short and even Dhoni was very inconsistent with the slip cordon field placements. Why hasn't Sehwag been learning from all that (if indeed the team was notified of this)? And why was Harbhajan brought on so late, and why was Munaf taken off when he was bowling well - same with Ishant? Link to comment

He is not one of those who break down under additional pressure. He is a natural leader. Link to comment
