Reserve wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik and fast bowler Munaf Patel were axed from the 16-member squad that played two Twenty20 internationals in New Zealand in February. There were no surprises in the squad which was more or less was finalised after the national selectors held a preliminary meeting in Cape Town on April 24, in the presence of N Srinivasan, the BCCI secretary. RP has been one of the IPL's most successful bowlers, taking 12 wickets in six games for the Deccan Chargers at an average of 11.33 and economy of 6.27 runs per over. The selectors left out Mumbai Indians allrounder Abhishek Nayar who has also been impressive during the IPL. Nayar, who bowls medium pace and is a powerful hitter in the middle-order, has scored 102 runs in six innings this season at a strike-rate of 143. He also took four wickets and conceded only 5.90 runs per over. zak n ishant are not suitable to T20 rpsingh is a much needed boost i'm surprised the squad is annouced a bit early the selectors have sidelined sreesanth and ofcourse, robin uthappa struck form, they would have wanted to see him play a few more matches before taking the final decision

im bit dissapointed to see dhoni there... they should have made gambhir as captain. nd no agarkar too.... our best T20 all rounder...... best bowler than zak nd far aggresive batsman than sehwag. nd wtf yusuf pathan is doing in d team..... akash chopra or sanjay bangar should hv replaced him. nd one more poor selection...."where is ATUL SHARMA"?????????? :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :((

So, no surprises whatsoever! They should have resyed both Zaheer and Ishant as both have been terrible in T20. I see the futire bleak for this this team, this time as Sehwag, Gambhir, Dhoni, Zaheer, Ishant and even Harbhajan are terribly out of form!
