pan_walla Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 This should be an images thread. The fluffy/rubbery/spongy white version is nice as well. full of saturated fats though. The raw cut onion sprinkled on top of chole really gives it a nice kick. :nervous::nervous::two_thumbs_up:B->
Rajiv Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 I have been to Karims as well, when I was in Delhi 10 yrs ago
yoda Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Rajiv, I gave up smoking 2 years ago and haven't touched one since and don't feel like either. It is one thing I don't even want to go anywhere near.
EnterTheVoid Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Its been so long since I had: 1. Badam Milk 2. Sherbeth I tried cigarettes, but I stopped smoking that crap. It was like emptying the contents of an ashtray into my mouth In India, those people who sell the "Soda" drink put marble balls in the soda bottles. Does anyone know why they do that? Anyways, soda tastes like salt water. I don't really miss that

I don't really miss that[/quote'] thats the "banta" u r talking of. its available for rs.5-10 in various places in india. and the marble prevents the gas from escaping out and for non-veg in delhi, the best place is karims. also al-nazeer in shakarpur & al-sameer in mayur vihar r good places for eating chicken

I have not seen in most other cities I have travelled .. maybe a bit in UP and some other northern parts of India
EnterTheVoid Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Cheers for the clarification Does anybody know the snack thats sold by some street vendors - i.e. the one where they give you 4 / 5 slices of green mango to go with some sort of tangy masla powder ? I only tried it in Tirupati and nowhere else
amits Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 the banta is available in most places in himachal pradesh, uttaranchal & western up as well. basically it is available in all of north india and al-nazeer isnt as popular as karim, but whoever eats it, likes it. i have won/lost so many eating bets in al-nazeer
