5 best under-23 performers in IPL 2009

Raina the stands out for me...was even 2nd highest run getter for sometime in the tournament.Has been "the Indian batsman" of this IPL so far..let alone under 23.

Raina has been sensational. Rohit has been good at times, but not as consistent as Raina. Id put Raina as no.1

Not to take anything away from Raina, there are few things that aided him in his performance. The best part is Haydos being at the other end most of the time. The second thing is he has been their number 3 most of the times and hence has more overs in hand. The third and most important thing is the long batting lineup of the super kings which absolute takes out any pressure. I do agree that he still had to score runs to be where he is with an amazing strike rate and the flamboyance in his strokes. Rohit, on the other hand, had been their number 4 or 5 primarily and came at number 3 on very few occasions. He came to the crease most of the times in the middle overs where consolidation after the fall of wickets was the name of the game. His amazing hitting against the KNight Riders and the Kings XI earn him more points not to mention his 11 wickets with the ball at an average better than the strike bowlers of the side.

Top 3 have done well with Ball as well also fielding. Especially Rohit and Raina (bar last match). Rohit effected a briliant run out if i am right . Definitely Rohit , Raina, Yousuf are MVPs. I can also add Irfan to the list who won a couple of tight games in the death.

He could have been lot higher if only he had given himself more chances to bat. He pushed himself way down the order sometimes.
