Should Dhoni stand upto medium pacers?

We have seen how Sangakkara upset Gambhir's game plan by standing upto the stumps. Though he overcame it later, he becomes a different batsman when keeper stands up. It restricts the freedom of batsman. You think Dhoni should stand up to someone like Praveen, Irfan? Atleast when the batsmen are in the mood to attack.

not unless he is 100% certain about it ... id rather he stand back and be confident he can take the caught behinds than stand up and hope for the stumping. that being said, im not discouraging it if he could actually do it. Australia do that with Bracken at the death and it works pretty well.

Especially for batsmen who stand outside the crease and batsmen who charges down the wicket i think he could try that. Because it makes the bowler like Pathan to bowl straight. But it is upto Dhoni to decide if this strategy will work for him.

not upfront,but the death he should try it.it makes yorkers efective as batsman dont stand two feet outside the crease

its a risk firing in yorkers if the keeper is standin up, chances are high of it just missing everything n going for 4 byes

I don't believe he should, he doesn't seem to be in the greatest of forms right now with the gloves, and its unnecessary pressure to add on as a wicketkeeper batsman AND a captain, way too much to be doing! lol. It could be costly, maybe only in death overs, or where a batsman is advancing most balls.
