Fontaine
We don't have to win 2 out of 3 games necessarily. It's pretty conceiveable that both the Windies and Eng only win 1 our of their 3 matches. I mean seriously, in a strong group it could happen, and in that case India just needs to have a better run rate than those two, and only win 1 match to go through. In this case South Africa would have to win all of their matches. In the same manner we could win 2 matches and still not go through if three teams win two matches each and one team wins no matches and our net run rate is the slowest. This is why not having Sehwag is such a blow. In three matches there was going to be at least one match where Sehwag was going to go beserk and score a huge innings with minimum deliveries. And with little to no swing in these conditions, Sehwag personally would have accounted to for at least one win by himself in the Super 8's. Oh well, **** it. Link to comment
Sachinism
I hope India win all games and have their semi in Nottingham and then I can sell my tickets for 400 pounds each :yay: Link to comment
coffee_rules
DO we get some points carried from the first round into super 8s? Like the win against Ireland who also qualify? Link to comment
dial_100
hmm... this chaddi cricket is going on for so long... first IPL and now this.... Anyways, t20 is very unpredictable. So it is hard to predict but we should get 2 games fairly easily. Link to comment

No. When deciding the format, the minnow teams like Pakistan complained that it would unfair so the points weren't allowed to be carried through. Link to comment
