The Outsider
I would love South Africa to win the cup, but Pakistan are going to give them an almighty thrashing at Nottingham in the semi final. There is no way this bunch will be able to play the Afridi, Malik, and Ajmal combination on this Trent Bridge pitch. As an aside there is also a lesson for England. They should whack Australia on these kind of wickets to win the Ashes by playing Swann and Panesar. Link to comment
cowboysfan
agree on all the points-looking forward to the ashes the ECB looks to have a plan to use spin as a definite advantage-the pitch at Sophia gardens will tell a lot. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
just saw the score , SA struggling against us :wall::wall: .. Bhaji that wide which went for 4 came with a heavy price Link to comment
Laaloo
Thats why I hope Gayle and company faces Pakis. Link to comment
DomainK
And all of a sudden, Pakistan looks like strong candidate for the championship. Link to comment
Params7
I still wouldn't count out SA for that match. Kallis isn't playing and they're taking this match like a practice match. They should have a strategy to handle Pak's spin bowling. Link to comment

Pakistan gone. Give their batsmen green glasses and they will collapse even on flat tracks. Link to comment
vipin
The semifinal will take place on that green lush track that was to the right of this one. So should be a fair call for a semifinal. Link to comment

Koi lush/flush green nahin hai you can see them on TV.- yeah the two tracks next to this one might have a bit more binding but are getting baked in the same sun as this one over the last two weeks and are made from the same soil. Won't turn as much but then besides DeVilliers this batting line up won't require all that much to fold up either. Also, we had one specialist spinner, Pakistan are playing two. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
I guess consider it bad luck, but RSA seem to lose their steam at the very crucial period of the championship tournaments or are found out by other teams (not trying to say India found out RSA's weakness in this tournament..this game is far from over as RSA have successfully defended 128 against NZ). RSA will be more skeptical of playing SL than Pakistan given that SL carry M & M. Link to comment
ali0786
You know what..the way India are playnig, if SAF lose this badly, Pakistan may end up playing Westindies because SAF's NRR will take a hit. Link to comment

RSA will end topping the group and they will face Pakistan. I think Pakistan should be happy to face RSA than WI who are as unpredictable as Pakistan on their day. Link to comment

Guest Hiten.
Yeah that's not gonna happen. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
Seems like RSA can actually ****ing defend a score of 130. Not once but twice now. Link to comment
Shehezaada
i don't think the South Africans will be able to handle the Pak bowlers either...but how is Pakistan doing to handle the SA bowlers? Link to comment
diegovegaz
both teams have a match winning bowling attack i believe SA will go through Link to comment

Remember that Pakistan hasnt won against any tough team in this WC yet. They lost against England,South Africa,India and Sri Lanka and won against Holland,Ireland and a team with injured players New Zealand.Pakistan's batting will struggle against them even if they chase 140-150.
