Guest Hiten.
I mean which 'specialist' batsman would give the strike to a tailender when there are more than 3-4 balls left in the over. P.S: ...in before someone else started this thread :-D Link to comment
afridi6666
that max candy character will be after you now, i think since he has been captain, he has taken responsibility too far - really boring watching him now, not just todays game, like paul collingwood if you see him playing in ur garden, u'll close the curtains Link to comment
graphic23
There was no reason for him to play so slowly. I just don't see the point. What good is a 71% strike ? I would rather have had him try and hit out.. maybe we could've gotten to 200. It doesn't matter if our score would have been 88 allout, but at least we would've given ourselves a bigger chance. Params7
^With Dhoni playing sensibly we have a chance. With Dhoni playing gamblingly we would have gone out for under 100. Also he was dropped at 80 or something, it was an easy catch that just barely touched the boundary for 6. Link to comment

P.S: ...in before someone else started this thread :-D That would apply if we had 8 overs or so left. We had over 30 overs left. And to make matters worse if he took most of the strike anyway, it would be only a matter of time before WI would get RP on strike through tactics and get him out. This criticism of Dhoni is clearly unwarranted. Link to comment

undisputed
Dhoni can't bat at a fast rate anymore. okay in the west indies game it was required to bat at that rate so that was understandable but in the T20 he was a disapointement... he struggles to launch i think afridi is a better batsman.. it's his brain that gets him out but if he plays calmly you realise his technique is better than dhoni's.. Bhajji is a more useful batsman than Afridi. If I have to chose one to bat for a close match, I would chose Bhajji any day. Link to comment
