Aaku Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I used to bowl really fast during my school days but it was all tennis ball cricket until the Inter-class tournament which was held during my seventh grade. I ended up as the second highest wicket taker and that got me a chance to represent my school at under 15 level. My cricket coach was really impressed with me and he asked me to join the coaching camp during that summer vacation . Just when things were looking good,I fell very ill just after that Inter-class tournament and I was on medic leave for more than month, I just managed to appear for my annual exams. My father felt it was 'cause of cricket that I fell ill and my body is not up to it. So he asked me to stay away from cricket and concentrate on my studies. My cricket coach tried his best to convince my father, but my dad wouldn't budge. I don't claim that I would have made it and all but I was not even given a chance to prove my worth. There are a lot of kids like me in our country. ... no hard feelings though. Awww thats so very sad :((

diegovegaz Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 this may not be the decision of a lifetime but i would still like to share this small one when i cleared my 10th, i joined AIS, Saket for the first couple of months, i though this was perhaps the worst decision i've ever made but as time passed, i realised it might have been the best decision so far those 2 yrs i spent there, were amazing

I was involved with somebody really special a couple of years ago & refused to go to Ireland with him for 6 months. I thought we had a lot of time, but he died in a car crash about 5 weeks after coming back. I still regret the fact that we spent that time apart.

flamy Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Hm... I've been growing every year. Not much thought went into me coming over to the US, but now in retrospect it was a damn good decision. Similarly there was a lot of change in me over the four years of college. As long as I'm changing and growing, I'm happy.
