It'll keep him focused on cricket through out the year and you learn different things. Indoor cricket teaches you to place the ball, because runs are easily accumulated if you just find the gaps and hit the balls, which aren't far out. I believe you said he was 8 before, you need to get playing some matches. Match practice is extremely important. he starts indoor nets in Jan he's already played a few matches but next season he's in all of the games so hopefully that will sort him out!

If he has the talent and succeeds then it would be awesome, if he doesn't at least he had the chance to have a go at it. He won't be left wondering whether he had what it takes or not

He won't be left wondering whether he had what it takes or not[/quote'] :agree: cricket isnt the only thing he does he has various other activities as well but he's most passionate about his cricket so why not give him the best chances he can have, i always say to him that while he's young just enjoy playing rather than worrying too much about winning every match he plays, people develop talent by through learning! the problem is he actually hates losing he's calm on the pitch but god help anyone who gets in his way after losing a match! :nervous:
