observer1 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 pity not many people agreed when i called him england's version of yuvraj singh. he will be a very good odi player, will play the odd successful test innings, full of flair and style, but will not have an average of more than 30.
King Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I have been following Ravi Bopara since the World Cup 2007 after his fantastic knock against West Indies and Australia (I think) in the WC'07. He looked excellent and he also carried that form over to IPL and against West Indies. I thought he has finally figured how to bat in test cricket but I read him wrong, he looks a good prospect but for someone to be not able to score after about 8 hits in a row he needs to go back to domestic cricket. Aussie bowling isn't even that flash if you ask me and Bopara has failed miserably. Dhondy had called it right, he's not good enough against the Aussies.
