BUCHI BABU TOURNAMENT, ROUND 2, DAY 2 TNCA XI knocked out Jalaj Saxena’s unbeaten 91 anchored Madhya Pradesh’s chase against the TNCA XI to knock the defending champion out of the Buchi Babu tournament on day two of the second round matches here on Thursday. In a rain-interrupted start to the day’s play, TNCA XI gave itself an outside chance with three quick wickets to leave Madhya Pradesh stumbling at 139 for five, needing a further 38 runs. Prabal Pratap Singh, however, played solidly and the TNCA XI’s resistance visibly wilted with every powerfully struck boundary by the pair. Jalaj hit the winning runs a few minutes before lunch to put Madhya Pradesh in pole position to qualify for the semifinals from its group. Improbable win Assam pulled off an improbable win as Himachal Pradesh lost its way from 245 for six, needing another 10 runs for a win. Himachal lost all four wickets for one run in 2.3 overs with Abu Nasim Ahmed taking the last two wickets of successive balls to get to his five-wicket haul. TNCA President’s XI eclipsed Mumbai thanks to Kaushik Gandhi’s ton while B.R. Chauhan and C.R. Pathak scored identical hundreds to guide Saurashtra’s chase against Kerala. NZ 'A' bundled out Meanwhile, the technical shortcomings of the New Zealand ‘A’ batsmen on a sub-continental surface lacking in pace were evident. Pursuing 360 in 90 overs, the Kiwis were bundled out for 157 by a disciplined Combined Districts attack. The batsmen pushed hard at the ball instead of playing with soft hands and using the width of the crease. This explains the five caught and bowled dismissals in the innings. Districts, which meets Andhra in its last match, has a good chance of qualifying for the last four stage. Barring a miracle against Baroda, New Zealand ‘A’ is virtually out of the competition. All-round performance For Districts, S. Suresh Kumar followed his fine innings of 95 with four for 48 bowling steady off-spin. Left-arm spinner C. Suresh claimed two for 27. M.K. Sivakumar and K. Sriram, who were involved in a crucial 110-run stand for the seventh wicket after Districts slumped to 208 for six on Wednesday, bowled zestfully on a pitch that did not quite assist the pacemen. Sivakumar secured the key wicket of New Zealand ‘A’ captain Peter Fulton who decided to leave a delivery that nipped back into his stumps. Opener Aaron Redmond, who essayed a few fluent drives during his 47, was eventually consumed by Sriram’s smart change in length. Importantly, the Districts bowlers stuck to the basics and made the Kiwis play. The stump-to-stump ploy, with subtle shifts in length, worked. The scores: At Pachaiyappas: TNCA XI vs Madhya Pradesh TNCA XI 176 in 59.3 overs lost to Madhya Pradesh 177 for five in 53 overs (Jalaj Saxena 91 n.o.). Madhya Pradesh 4, TNCA XI 0. Hyderabad 4, Orrisa 0. NEW ZEALAND A EMBARRASSED A disastrous batting collapse saw New Zealand A suffer a heavy loss at the Buchi Babu All India Invitation tournament in Chennai. Chasing a target of 359 on day two of their second-round match against Combined Districts, New Zealand A were dismissed for just 157 - losing by 202 runs. Aaron Redmond, with 47, and Neil Broom, 39, were the only batsmen to post notable scores, while a late stand of 23 from Brendon Diamanti went unsupported at the other end as he ran out of partners. Redmond and BJ Watling (17) posted 42 for the first wicket before Watling and captain Peter Fulton (duck) fell in quick succession to leave the New Zealanders on 85 for two at lunch. Redmond's wicket early in the second session signalled the start of a rapid collapse with three wickets falling for four runs. Broom, whose 39 came from 77 balls, provided some resistance with a 20-run partnership with Diamanti. But once Broom was gone the tailenders were unable to mount any significant challenge and New Zealand A were bowled out in the 61st over of the 90 available to them. Chief architect of the New Zealanders' demise was right arm off-spinner and Chennai Super Kings IPL squad member Suresh Kumar, who took four for 48. New Zealand A play their third-round match against Baroda this weekend but after their rained-out first match they will be unable to proceed to the semi-finals of the tournament. TNCA Presidents XI win by two wickets to edge out Mumbai Chennai: A determined century by opener M Kaushik Gandhi steered TNCA President XI to a narrow two wicket win over Mumbai XI in a closely contested Zone C match in the Buchi Babu cricket tournament here today. Replying to Mumbai''s 313, the Presidents XI overcame hiccups to romp home with two wickets and 1.1 overs to spare. The President's XI scored 314 runs losing eight wickets in 88.5 overs and collected four points. After the early loss of opener Kaushik Gandhi (123, 198 balls, 15x4) and Vidhyut Sivaramakrishnan (71 balls, 1x6, 1x4) added 58 runs for the second wicket in 20.2 overs. Vasudeva Doss (48, 118 balls, 6x4) and Kaushik Gandhi added 94 runs for the third wicket in 29.3 overs to put the innings on the right track. Some tight bowling and a couple of run outs revived Mumbai's hopes. But the tail wagged to complete a fine win for the home team. Brief Scores: Mumbai 313 lost to TNCA President's XI 314 for eight in 88.5 overs (Kaushik Gandhi 123, Vidyut 28, Vasudeva Doss 48, Maruthi Raghav 27, R Naresh 27 not out, Mortaza Hussain 2 for 38, Iqbal Abdullah 2 for 73). Chauhan, Pathak score centuries to steer Saurashtra to victory over Kerala Chennai: Contrasting centuries by opener B M Chauhan and C R Pathak fashioned Saurashtra''s seven wicket win over Kerala in a Zone D match of the Buchi Babu All India Cricket tournament here today. Replying to Kerala's 303, Saurashtra romped home easily scoring 305 for three in 75.4 overs to collect four points and take their tally to five from two matches. Openers Chauhan (104, 218 balls, 10x4, 2x6) and Jaydev Shah (74, 77 balls, 8x4, 3x6) set the tone with a 125-run stand in 32 overs. While Chauhan played the role of sheet anchor, Jaydev dominated the stand witha flurry of boundaries to unsettle the Kerala bowlers. Jaydev's exit hardly altered the course of the game as Chauhan and Pathak (104 not out, 126 balls, 15x4) added 106 in 29 overs for the second wicket to consolidate the position. Pathak was more aggressive of the two as he used his feet well against the spinners to score at a quick pace. Chauhan and Ravindra jadeja (zero) fell in quick succession. But Pathak carried on merrily. In association with Jackson (18 not out) he added 74 runs for the unfinished fourth wicket in 23.2 overs to complete a facile win. Brief Scores: Kerala 303 lost to Saurashtra 305 for three in 75.4 overs (B M Chauhan 104, Jaydev Shah 74, C R Pathak 104 not out). Spin twin bowls Karnataka to victory over Vidharbha Karnataka beat Vidharbha by 50 runs in the Bachi Babu cricket tournament with spinners Apanna and Patel sharing seven wickets between them. Chennai, August 20 Spinner K P Appanna and Udit Patel shared seven wickets between them as Karnataka bundled out Vidarbha for 176 to win by 50 runs in a Zone C match of the Buchi Babu All India Cricket tournament here today. Resuming at the overnight score of 38 for one, replying to Karnataka's 226, Vidarbha were bowled out for 176 in 67.2 overs, with Jayesh Dongaonkar's top scored with 35 (75 balls, 3x4), Mangesh Joshi and Ravi Jangid chipped in with 26 and 32 respectively. Left Arm spinner Appanaa and off spinner Udit Patel struck in tandem to claim four and three wickets, as Karnataka pick up four points for their outright victory. Brief Scores: Karnataka 226 bt Vidarbha 176 all out in 67.2 overs (Jayesh Dongaonkar 35, Mangesh joshi 26, Ravi Jangid 32, Appanna 4 for 45, Udit Patel 3 for 51).

BUCHI BABU, ROUND 3, DAY 1 Karnataka restricts Mumbai 2009082356141801.jpgGONE! Mumbai’s Sushant Marathe’s citadel is breached by an Appanna special. Appanna claimed four wickets for Karnataka. CHENNAI: Karnataka dismissed Mumbai for 230 on the first day of a third-round Buchi Babu match at MRF-Pachaiyappa’s. Karnataka owes its position to bowlers and K.P. Appanna (four for 77), A. Mithun (three for 29), and S. Arvind (two for 52); had Prashant Naik not contributed a determined, skilful 93, patching Mumbai’s innings in the process, Karnataka would have been even better placed. Early strikes Mumbai, weakened by the absence of Rohit Sharma (shoulder injury) and Abhishek Nayar (chest pain), slid to 19 for two after electing to bat. Mithun removed Sahil Kukreja and Wasim Jaffer in his opening spell. Bowling on a responsive pitch helped, but the young fast-bowler deserves credit for the work he put in on a hot, sapping day. Left-handed opener Sushant Marathe batted attractively for his 34. He added 47 for the third wicket with Naik, as Mumbai looked to set to build. But Marathe was bowled trying to sweep Appanna’s left-arm spin, and the dismissal triggered a collapse. Naik bats well Mumbai slumped to 87 for five before Naik found a partner willing to stay with him. Ajit Agarkar played sensibly for most part, assisting Naik’s recovery act. The 22-year-old Naik defended solidly. He appeared in no discomfort against Appanna, who was getting the ball to turn and bounce. Naik found sustenance in singles, but he also played vigorously behind point, slicing and back-cutting the seamers. He spent 14 minutes short of five hours at the crease, facing 207 balls during his innings and hitting 11 fours. The sixth-wicket partnership of 55 between Naik and Agarkar preceded other useful lower-order alliances. Suresh Babu and Shalab shine In another third-round match, M. Suresh Babu claimed six wickets to help TNCA President’s XI dismiss Vidarbha for 238. Shalab Srivastava scored an unbeaten 104 for Vidarbha. Combined Districts made 333 for six in 90 overs against Andhra, for whom G. Sankara Rao took six wickets. TNCA XI completed a six-wicket win over Himachal Pradesh. The scores: At MRF-Pachaiyappa’s: Mumbai vs Karnataka Mumbai 230 in 80.4 overs (Prashant Naik 93, K.P. Appanna four for 77) vs. Karnataka 16 for no loss in seven overs. At MAC: NZ A vs Baroda : New Zealand 240 in 86.5 overs (Peter Fulton 40, Gareth Hopkins 53, Murtaza Vohra five for 34, Viswanath Parmar four for 69) vs. Baroda five for no loss one over. At CPT-IP: Vidarbha vs TNCA Presidents XI Vidarbha 238 in 88.4 overs (Ranjith Paradkar 52, Shalab Srivastava 104 n.o., M. Suresh Babu six for 54) vs. TNCA President’s XI 11 for no loss in six overs. At Mayajaal: Saurashtra vs Orissa Saurashtra 329 in 89.4 overs (Jai Dev Shah 49, Ravindra Jadeja 53, Pratik Metha 89) vs. Orissa. At RKM-Viveka: Kerala vs Hyderabad Kerala 238 in 89.2 overs (Robert Fernandez 96, Arjun 67) vs. Hyderabad. At VB Nest: Assam vs MP Assam 257 in 74.4 overs (Siv Shankar Roy 96, Ramez Khan four for 11) vs. Madhya Pradesh 22 for no loss in eight overs. At IC-Guru Nanak: HP vs TNCA XI Himachal Pradesh 152 in 47.3 overs (Paras Dogra 47, Rishi Dhawan 53) lost to TNCA XI 156 for four in 35.5 overs (Abhinav Mukund 64). Points: TNCA 4, HP 0. At SRMC (Turf): Combined Districts vs Andhra Combined District 333 for nine in 90 overs (K.B. Arun Karthick 55, X. Thalaivan Sargunam 45, K. Varun Kumar 48, C. Suresh 46, G. Sankara Rao six for 66) vs. Andhra. ________________________________________________________________ Hopkins half century helps NZ A to solid platform NZPA Last updated 10:32 23/08/2009 New Zealand A will defend a total of 240 on the final day of their tournament in Chennai, India. Batting first against Baroda in their third-round match in the Buchi Babu tournament, the New Zealanders faced a day's hard grind on a difficult wicket -- in use for the third time in a week. Openers Aaron Redmond (13) and Jamie How (22) got starts but were unable to kick on. Captain Peter Fulton found form with a tenacious innings of 40 from 138 deliveries, combining with Neil Broom (36) to post 72 for the third wicket. Gareth Hopkins, who will next week join the Blackcaps for duties in the One Day International series in Sri Lanka, top scored with 53 off 116 balls before being run out. Hopkins and Kyle Mills (33) added 76 in a seventh-wicket partnership, but with the final three wickets falling for only five runs the side was dismissed for 240 in 86.5 overs. Two bowlers did the damage for Baroda, with right arm medium pacer Murtuja Vahora taking five for 34, and left arm spinner Vishwanath Parmar claiming four for 69. Baroda faced one over at the end of the day, reaching five for no wicket at stumps. Resuming in the morning on a pitch offering slow, inconsistent bounce and turn, New Zealand A will need to perform well in the field to secure a win as they look to end a disappointing tournament on a high note. Short scoreboard: New Zealand A b 240 all out in 86.5 overs (Hopkins 53, Fulton 40, Broom 36, Mills 33, How 22; Varoda 5/34, Parmar 4/69) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So HP was defeated in a single day, twice in 3 matches! Quite disappointed that Kiwis couldn't make it to the semis and Rohit, Nayar etc could not take part due to injury/illness!

BUCHI BABU, ROUND 3, DAY 2

Zones : A : TNCA XI, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. B: New Zealand ‘A’, Andhra, Combined Districts, and Baroda. C: Karnataka, TNCA President’s XI, Vidarbha, and Mumbai. D: Saurashtra, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Orissa.
Assam, Combined Districts, Karnataka, Hyderabad enter semifinals Special Correspondent Assam, Combined Districts, Karnataka, and Hyderabad entered the semifinals of the Buchi Babu all-India invitation cricket tournament after the completion of the league phase on Sunday. Assam defeated Madhya Pradesh by 20 runs in a third-round match to top Zone A with nine points and qualify for the last four. In Zone B, S. Suresh Kumar took five wickets with his off-spin to help Combined Districts register a comfortable victory over Andhra and advance. The battle to reach the knockout stage was tighter in Zones C and D. Although Karnataka and TNCA President’s XI were tied on points in Zone C, Karnataka’s superior Net Run Rate of 0.801 (compared to President XI’s 0.063) won it a semifinal spot. Abhinav Kumar’s unbeaten, run-a-ball 110 and T. Suman’s 84 were instrumental in Hyderabad’s win over Kerala in Zone D. Although Saurashtra completed a comprehensive win over Orissa, equalling Hyderbad on points and recording a healthy Net Run Rate of 1.421, it couldn’t better Hyderabad’s rate (1.667). The scores (third-round matches): Zone A: At VB Nest: Assam vs MP Assam 257 bt Madhya Pradesh 237 in 83.4 overs (Anand Singh 40, Manoj Singh 48, Rameez Khan 75). Points: Assam 4, Madhya Pradesh 0. Zone B: At SRMC (Turf): Combined Districts vs Andhra Combined Districts 333 bt Andhra 258 in 81.4 overs (A. Rakesh 50, B. Sumant 55, Moshin Bhasa 44, K.S. Bharath Reddy 42, S. At MAC: NZ A vs Baroda New Zealand 240 bt Baroda 168 in 48.3 overs (Pinal Shah 44, Tarun Nethula four for 44) Points: New Zealand 4, Baroda 0. Zone C: At MRF-Pachaiyappa’s: Mumbai vs Karnataka Mumbai 230 lost to Karnataka 234 for six in 60.3 overs (C.M. Gautam 53, Amit Verma 65 n.o.). Points: Karnataka 4, Mumbai 0. At CPT IP: Vidarbha vs TNCA Presidents XI Vidarbha 238 lost to TNCA President’s XI 239 for six in 88.1 overs (Ashwin Venkat Raman 88 n.o., R. Naresh 42). Points: TNCA President’s XI 4, Vidhardha 0. Zone D: At Viveka: Kerala vs Hyderabad Kerala 238 lost to Hyderabad 239 for one in 37.2 overs (Abhinav Kumar 110 n.o., T. Suman 84). Points: Hyderabad 4, Kerala 0. At Mayajaal: Saurashtra vs Orissa Saurashtra 329 bt Orissa 130 in 50.3 overs (S. Biswal 52 n.o., Rakesh V. Dhruv six for 45). Points: Saurashtra 4, Orissa 0. _________________________________________________________________ Spin twins bowl NZ A to victory Published: 6:39AM Monday August 24, 2009 Spin bowlers Tarun Nethula and Nathan McCullum bowled New Zealand A to a 72-run win over Baroda in their final match at the Buchi Babu All India invitation tournament in Chennai today. Chasing New Zealand A's first-day total of 240, Baroda could only manage 168 before being dismissed for 168 in the 49th over. Auckland legspinner Nethula finished with four for 44 from 10.3 overs, while McCullum -- who flies to Sri Lanka next week for New Zealand's limited overs series -- took three for 38. Pace bowler Shane Bond didn't take a wicket but was the most economical of the New Zealand attack, conceding 21 runs from his 11 overs. The match was the last for New Zealand in the tournament, as they did not make the semi-finals after a rained-out draw and a loss on their first two rounds. The team have a one-day friendly match on Tuesday before finishing their Indian campaign. Baroda started the day at five without loss but were soon in trouble. Medium pacer Brent Arnel took the first wicket at 33, and McCullum removed the other opener at the same score. Four more wickets fell in the opening session -- one each to Arnel and Nethula and two to McCullum -- as Baroda struggled to gain momentum, going to lunch at 108 for six. A batting recovery looked possible with a brief seventh-wicket stand of 39, but the New Zealanders were soon back in command after two more wickets to Nethula plus a run out as three wickets fell in the space of 15 runs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So strange that all the stronger teams in the tournament like Bombay, Baroda ot TN or NZ A got knocked out while a team from Karnataka where all the main players are resting after having played a similar tournament in their own state,Assam, who don't have many known names, CD of TN, which were certainly a poorer squad than TNCA XI, and Hyderabad which admittedly have few ICL players coming back, qualified! Wonder how Mumbai which had at least 3 international Indian team members, present or former, TNCA, Baroda and a strong A squad of NZ failed in the tournament!!

BUCHI BABU, SEMI-FINALS, DAY 1 Rayadu shines as Hyderabad scores 246 against Karnataka Ambati Rayudu’s well-constructed 97 and a telling spell with the old ball by paceman A. Mithun were the highlights of the opening day of the Buchi Babu semifinal between Hyderabad XI and Karnataka XI at the IC-Guru Nanak ground here on Tuesday. Hyderabad, electing to bat, was dismissed for 246. It was a creditable bowling effort by the Karnataka bowlers on a pitch favouring the batsmen. The lanky Mithun extracted bounce from a high-arm action and bowled a good line around the off-stump. He was lively and hit the bat hard; on those occasions when the ball missed the willow, it carried well to the ’keeper. Mithun finished with three for 42 from 16.3 overs. Responsible effort Inside-edging an attempted cut off Mithun on to his stumps, Rayudu missed a century by a whisker; he had been reprieved at first slip in the same over. Otherwise, his 164-ball 97 (6x4, 1x6) was a responsible effort at the No. 3 slot. He worked the ball around for the ones and the twos and drove pleasingly on either side of the pitch. Opener T. Suman (28) promised much before jumping out to off-spinner Udit Patel for Thilak Naidu to effect a stumping. The Hyderabad innings revolved around the 98-run partnership for the third wicket in 27 overs between Rayudu and Benjamin Thomas (47). Karnataka came back well. Thomas was trapped leg-before by leggie Amit Varma and wickets fell in regular succession. Left-armers, paceman S. Aravind and spinner K.P. Apanna, were steady while Mithun was the cynosure. Sharma scores century for Assam against Combined district In the other semifinal at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, a strokeful hundred by Deepak Sharma (101) helped Assam overcome a poor start and set Combined Districts a target of 268 runs. Paceman Jesuraj scalped four. Sharma combined with Abhijit Sinha Roy (96) to add 155 runs for the fourth wicket, taking the score to respectability from a dicey 14 for three. Sharma 154-ball innings was studded with 11 hits to the fence, and one towering hit beyond long on off left-arm spinner Aushik Srinivasan. The beneficiary of a number of reprieves — on 32 (missed stumping) and 67 (dropped in the slips) — Roy’s luck caught up with him after he had slaved for 254 balls for his 96. He finally departed going for a quick single when Jesuraj collected the ball in his follow through and threw down the stumps at the non-striker’s end in the 87th over. Poor start Earlier, electing to bat, Assam lost opener Chandan Rawat for a duck on the fourth ball of the innings when the right-hander edged Jesuraj to slip. Two more quick wickets found the visitors in a hole, setting the scene perfectly for Sharma and Roy to begin their salvage act. Jesuraj was the pick of the bowlers for Combined Districts, collecting four wickets for 56 runs. Paceman M.K. Shivakumar and left-arm spinner C. Suresh claimed two wickets apiece. The scores (Semifinals): Hyderabad XI 246 in 84.3 overs (A.T. Rayudu 97, Benjamin Thomas 47) vs Karnataka XI eight without loss in three overs. Assam 267 in 87.5 overs (Deepak Sharma 101, Abhijit Sinha Roy 96, R. Jesuraj four for 56) v Combined Districts. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesuraj seems to do well at the domestic level. Does he play for any IPL team? And hasn't Rayudu announced his comeback straightaway? Wonder how Hyderabad let him slip away! This guy will be very beneficial to us in future. Hope Shivlal Yadav and politics stay away this time from him and he gets a chance to impress this political season! I have no doubt that Abu Nachim, another ICLer would do well tomorrow for Assam as he has been doing in every match in this tournament!!

Rayudu wants to make it count Rayudu prefers the longer format. "The ICL taught me a few valuable lessons and there is a lot from that can be used in duration games. BALAJI CHENNAI Aug. 25: For Ambati Rayudu, the BCCI amnesty offer was a chance to voyage into rediscovery. A batsman with enormous potential, Rayudu was a classic example of self-destruction. Luckily for him and Hyderabad, the youngster has clung firmly to the last straw and wants to make up for lost time. His knock of 97 in the Buchi Babu semifinals against Karnataka was only a continuation of the good show he had started in the KSCA Trophy. In the two innings in Bengaluru, Rayudu made a hundred and 35. In Chennai the returns have been impressive. A century was followed by an unbeaten 38 against Kerala. "The last month has been extremely satisfying. More than anything else I am happy to be in Hyderabad colours again. I have always enjoyed the longer version more. It gives time to have a better look at the bowlers," said Rayudu. A tighter all-round game is seen as the reason for Rayudu’s consistent scores. "He is coming back from playing a lot of T20 cricket. It’s a matter of making minor adjustments for duration cricket and I am sure he will be able to adapt quickly. His return has certainly added to our top-order," noted coach Venkatpathy Raju. Though Rayudu was unlucky to miss another hundred, he appeared in no trouble at any point of time. Walking in at the fall of the first wicket, the right-hander timed the ball fluently from the start. Presenting the full face of the bat and solid with his footwork, Rayudu was a picture of perfection. "It was a wicket with a bit of bounce and suited strokeplay. All I wanted to do was stay till the end of the 90th over. I was disappointed at getting out at that stage," explained the 24-year-old. Rayudu prefers the longer format. "The ICL taught me a few valuable lessons and there is a lot from that can be used in duration games. My scoring areas have improved and when you are playing a 90-over game there seems to be so much more time and all it takes is a calmer approach."

He started off with a bang and then kinda just fizzed away. Hopefully he does find some form and consistency. It wouldn't be bad at all for India to have another possible batting option
There is a long history as to why he could not be a hit at the domestic cricket. Yes. You guessed it right. Politics made Shivlal Yadav, then the chief of Hyderabad cricket to really treat him badly so that his own son Arjun Yadav could lead the state and catch the eyes of the selectors. After too much of struggle, Rayudu played for even Andhra once. But poltics and Yadavs didn't spare him there as well. So he and six other Hyderabadi players had to take the worst option, that is join ICL. We can only hope that Shivlal would have realised by now that Arjun Yadav can't play for India and hence can leave Rayudu alone!
He has talent ' date='but his technique is poor and that is the only reason why he failed as a cricketer[/quote'] Oh really? When did you watch him closely to have such a strong opinion about his technique

That Arjun Yadav episode is blown out of proprtions. While Arjun is no saint, but independents say he was good enough to be in the Ranji Squad and he does decently good. OTOH -- Rayudu wanted to be treated like Sachin Tendulkar -- and when he did not get that treatment -- he started flinging mud. Problem with the Indian Junior Ranks they see all these guys on TV and when they shoot into prominence they walk and talk with aura of a SRT, while the Indian Board and Selectors give a rats ass to what they did. And I am glad Indian Board and Selectors are doing more and more of this and they wait for the Bat to talk at places where it matters the most. He has the talent -- but he seems to be a man of big ego. Hope he puts all that to rest and makes his bat talk.
