True he has not yet completely sorted out his problem..but from what I saw yesterday and even in the first game he has worked on it. He has opened up his stance a bit towards mid-on. May not give hi success straight away but should prove beneficial as he faces more pacy bowlers in the International arena.

Its good practice for him at the end of the day. Face some short bowling in match situation. You can work on it in nets, but outside with fielders placed to take catches, its different. We have these games and that tri-series to work out these problems, hopefully the players will be ready and in form for the CT

With their Group C match against Tata Sports Club abandoned because of rain on Thursday, they have been knocked out of the Corporate Trophy without playing a single game. Tata, who won against All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB) on Tuesday, have entered the semifinals. They will now take on the winners of Group A in the semifinals in Mohali on Sunday. Indian Oil skipper Wasim Jaffer blamed it on the inappropriate scheduling of the tournament during the monsoon. “It would have been better if the tournament was slotted a couple of weeks later. Then it would have been more successful. It's not just in Dharamsala, the matches are being hampered everywhere. In Mohali and in Bangalore too the situation is the same,” he said. Match referee Manu Nayyar said: “The match has been abandoned and we are going according to the rules of the tournament. “And nowhere did they mention anything about rescheduling.”

Most of Reliance's recruits are from the Mumbai Indians — their IPL team. DLF, too, are talking with some big players for setting up their team. With the two series coming up — the Sri Lanka tour and the Champions Trophy, the international players are using this tournament to get back into the match atmosphere after the break. “The tournament has been planned at a good time, it is a great way to prepare after a break” said Ishant Sharma, who is employed with ONGC. Payback time Ajay Ratra, who keeps wickets for ONGC, said: “This is a one stop team where players from different stats come together to play as employees. The organisation has always been a big support for me. “Though we always play for the ONGC in tournaments like the Hot Weather or the KSCA tournament, this is much bigger.” Abid Khan, who plays for Indian Tobacco Company (ITC), shared Ratra's views. “ITC supported me when I was just starting my career and that's when I first realised that I have got something from cricket.”

Besides the captain, the Blue line-up includes MS Dhoni and fast bowler RP Singh for whom on Tuesday will be the last chance to pick up some wickets before India embark for the tri-series in Sri Lanka. The Blue batsmen have been prolific with openers Chandan Madan and Manvinder Bisla scoring match-winning tons and Dhoni joining the party against Indian Revenue with an unbeaten 106. So dominant have been the top four, Mohd Kaif included, that the middle order has hardly been exposed. Asked if it mattered who won on Tuesday, as Air India would lift the trophy anyway, Blue coach Praveen Amre said: “It does matter for the players and especially the captains. Both of them (captains) will fight for the trophy and be judged in the final.”
