How will it have more breaks? Right now we have 30 minutes break between 2 innings of ODIs. If we'll have 4 innings, it'll be like this: 1st inning:25 overs-- 10 min-- 2nd innigs:25 overs-- 10 mins-- 3rs innings:25 overs-- 10 mins-- 4th innings:25 overs Break is essentially of 30 mins only!
Guess I didn't think it through.

that is a stupid comparison.in test the batsman has to preserve his wicket.there r fielders close to the wicket.n wicket is doing enuf to encourage bowlers.no such thing in ODIs.they have limited overs' date='flat wickets n mot more than 2 catching fielders .so thers no reason for them to go slow[/quote'] Flat wickets alright. But if couple of wickets fall, you will find yourself in deep hole with lot of overs left. If you are all out for 250 in 25 overs.. opposition has 50 overs to get that. Simple logic. More the overs less the risk will be taken. More the quota for better bowlers more the price a batsman puts for his wicket. Isn't that what they do in Tests? Putting more price on the wicket?

Exciting doesn't mean scoring runs. Taking wickets is also exciting. You basically reject the idea of batsmen putting a price on their wicket. Let us make it 10/10 that will be even more interesting. Even more exciting. We won't have to sit through the boring [/b ]part of 7 to 15 th over. What do you say?

Firstly how can u even compare tht retarded ponting with the best batsman ever ... Tht's a criminal offence in India .. :winky: Sachin retired cos his body needed rest ... Ponting retired cos he is faking so tht selectors don't sack him .. So he needed to show tht he is giving up something and results will be good in future... which u can bet will never be till he is captain.. :D

7 to 15 overs is hardly boring in T20s.taking wickets is exciting but how is that possible in flat wickets in ODIs.that should be done in Test cricket on sporting wickets wat i meant was that while in T20s,batsman are always looking for that extra run, fielders r alert.in ODIs,between 15-40 overs, game goes to sleep, batsman are jogging the singles taking 4-runs per over n fielders r happy with it n dont try hard to stop it.exciting doesnt mean fours n sixes surely i agree. i have never rejected the idea of batsman a price on thier wicket, let them do that in Test cricket on tougher wickets.even in ODIs wen do it on tougher wickets, its watchable, but wen they do it on pattas, its plain boring n unacceptable
