vvvslaxman Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Robin Singh appointed Mumbai Indians coach Cricinfo staff October 6, 2009 Text size: A | A Robin Singh, the former India allrounder and current fielding coach, has been appointed coach of Mumbai Indians for the third season of the IPL, and former fast bowler Paras Mhambrey as his deputy. Jonty Rhodes will continue as fielding coach while Shaun Pollock will remain a part of the team management. The other members of the Mumbai support staff include Praveen Amre, Nitin Patel, Dhananjay, Ramji Srinivasan and Donald Shugg. Robin coached Deccan Chargers in the inaugural edition of the IPL, when they finished last; he was replaced by Darren Lehmann. Mhambrey has long been associated with Mumbai cricket, having played first-class cricket over a 19-year period, taking 284 wickets at 24.36. He also played for India in two Tests and three ODIs on the tour of England in 1996. Mumbai finished fifth in the inaugural IPL and seventh this year in South Africa. http://www.cricinfo.com/ipl2010/content/current/story/428642.html
Guest Hiten. Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 The most expensive team with the least tactical abilities. They have been fiddling with the coach every season rather than overhauling the squad :wall:
MUMBAISKIPPER Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Now Mumbai Indians will mess up on the field as did team India.
DomainK Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 wow.....apart from Sachin, this team has nothing. WTF is MUkesh doing?

Online Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 most frustrating team worst decisions but i still support it :mi:
Guest Hiten. Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Off topic: MI has the WORST website of all IPL teams and they hardly are bothered to put up the online store for accessories. No updates whatsoever.
Dark Warrior Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 ^ i agree... Mukesh uncle ae khaali timepass mate team rakhi chhe. just for showing off in their business circle!!
Indianfan_Hyd Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Mumbai Indians need to Get away 4m Sachin. He is their biggest marketing Asset but need keep him away 4m the team and use him only as a Brand Ambassador. He is too big a player in India. And his aura generally over shadows everything else.

No updates whatsoever. Talking about websites, the other ones aren't that impressive either. Even the official IPL/CL websites look amateur. They should take some inspirations from Nba.com or MLB.com

gaurav92 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 ^ maybe its an exchange over.Jonty would now be our fielding coach:dance: if that is the case, then i ll be more than happy to see robin catering the mumbai indians and johnty doing it for only the indians. See :mi: always thinks ahead of the future :winky:
Texy Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I sometimes wonder... what happens in a board meeting @MI office....do they just tie each other up and throw dart at random ppl's pic and whoever gets the most poked out of ....is chosen as the new coach every season?
Shane Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Better than having 4 captains and a Bollywood Monkey as your mascot, isn't it?
Texy Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 that Bollywood Monkey is worshipped more in Bombay than anywhere else MI management is like Arabs... too much money, very little intellect
Shane Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Yup and does a heck of a job with a Cricket team too. I guess even the Arabs would find it tough to top the Multi-Captaincy Theory or the awesome 3 dead rubber wins from the Bollywood Queens and how can we forget the buy of the season, Mashrafe Mortaza, sneaky pick by the KKR Management. :nice:
cowboysfan Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 lol.this is going to be another disaster.another bottom dwelling season awaits for the bambis.get rid of your budas first ps-we will take the shorter one off your hands.
