Mr. Wicket Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Patriot made a GREAT point in another thread. Yesterday was the seventh anniversary of one of the greatest moments in cricket. Matthew Hayden is one of the most dominant batsmen of this generation, and yesterday, Seven years ago in Sharjah, Hayden beat Pakistan by an innings! Yes. That is correct. Hayden smashed 119 in the Australian innings. Before that, Pakistan had set a new low with a total of 59. In their second innings, they showed there is always new ground to be explored and fell for 53! http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64002.html

Malcolm Merlyn Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 hmm...Sharjah....match fixing? Not that the padosis are incapable of performing this badly they were pure crap..............couldnt play warne.the openers were like waiting to give mcgrath their wickets in gift. But remember akhtar bowled a smouldering spell in the preceding test in colombo...took a 5 fer in 5-6 over spell...........good reverse swing............in this match he bowle 15 overs in total i guess.........so much for consistency and commitment

P.S:how much trouble it was i dont know....warne would have liked 22 pakistanis to play in that team.
Mr. Wicket Posted October 13, 2009 Author Posted October 13, 2009 All we need is CoBs greatest test DVD To be fair to Pak though they were missing some players then, Inzy and YoYo were out. They were also missing a backbone, technique and the ability to fight it out.
