Tendulkar asks for heavy bat again

Doesn't matter much if someone use light or heavy bats..its all about comfort....Azhar used to have lightest bat and he has the fastest century in ODIs for India...Ganguly used lightweight bats...he was one of the sweetest timer of the ball...Yurvaj also uses lightweight bat and is still one of the best striker of the ball....batting is more about skills and comfort rather than these minor things

Hope sachin bring this world cup at home this time. As we all know that this is his last world cup. Wish u all the best to all the Indian players.
didn't Gavaskar say that if he doesn't win it this time round..he may still feature in the next WC..:haha:

I find this bit very interesting "Tendulkar has been practising with these new bats during the camp. However, he is unlikely to use these new bats for the World Cup matches where he will rely on his tried and tested relatively lighter ones."

From what I understand this is just for practice purposes. Once you practice with a heavier bat, the normal weight bat feels a lot lighter. I've seen Dhoni doing shadow batting while holding two bats in the dressing room. Baseball batters also add a weight to the bat while doing free swing before coming to bat.

Everyone does it now, paaji. :dontknow: I saw Uthappa bounce a huge ball before he went onto bat, in one of the IPL matches. He returned back to the pavilion facing just two balls though. Maybe, he likes bouncing the ball more than batting :hmmm:

However, it’s not just Tendulkar who has increased the weight of his practice bat. Even Virender Sehwag is using a heavier bat during the practice session.
:fear: God bless opposition bowlers. :fear:

Is he using that heavy bat? this one seems to be a heavier bat with thick edge and lots of meat.
I think he came in with a light bat and then changed it to the heavy bat.

Yeah..he started with his normal bat. Change of bat occured when he was really struggling with his timing..looking at that effortless six he hit off Collingwood, I think this is a slighly heavier one than what he normally uses.

Rubbish 2.8 is a very light bat not heavy at all. Dhoni's is quite a heavy bat at 2 pounds and 14 ounce. Tendulkar uses similar weight as well.
