Who is India's best "bad pitch" batsman?

Okay so the pitch is a vicious bouncer and there some serious pace bowling unit in the opposition... or the pitch has a very low bounce... or the conditions for matchplay are exactly suited for some real swing bowling... or the pitch is a turner and when bowlers like hauritz bowls on the them then it turns at right angles... or the pitch isnt good enuf for test cricket and its crumbling as fast as a human being transforms into a zombie when injected with a deadly virus... so under bowler friendly conditions like these... whom would you bet your money on? for me in this order 1) VVS. I think he has the ability to score and continue when wickets are falling all around him. He ends up looking alike an idiot when he gets bowled and his innings is terminated, but when the score reads 21/4 when he enters... a half century atleast we can expect. 2) sehwag... he will not care about match conditions. he will play his game. he never gets scared...not akhtar's speed nor mendis's guile took an effect on his mind... same with a vicious pitch. sachin - will use all his experience. will let his ego take a backseat and concentrate on the job at hand 3) dravid - tru grit and real fighter. but on bowler friendly pitches he might score at a lower strike rate. 4) dhoni - same like dravid... technically less accomplished, mentally right up there with him.

Tendulkar I would say. Bouncy, turning, swinging- he knows how to bat on all those surfaces against all kinds of bowlers.

I would say Dravid is the best on saving his wicket on difficult pitches and then comes Sachin

. Sehwag is good . But he has problem against seam deliveries by his own admission. If the pitch is all about bounce, pace i would back Laxman. If bowlers start swinging into batsmen Laxman cannot be trusted. Tendulkar's problem won't be about lack of ability. His shot selection deserts him usually. I say Dravid. He proved it in West Indies on one of the worst pitches you could hope to see. In terms of temperament and determination Gambhir and Dhoni are up there.

My best memory was Dravid's obdurate 27 on an unplayable kingsmead pitch where India was blown away by Donald & Co for 100 & 66 .
