Sreesanth included in India's limited-overs squads Cricinfo staff December 2, 2009 India have recalled fast bowler Sreesanth to their limited-overs squads for the Twenty20 internationals and the first two one-dayers against Sri Lanka. The selectors also included three uncapped players - R Ashwin, Ashok Dinda and Sudeep Tyagi - in the Twenty20 squad. Sreesanth, who made a successful Test comeback by taking a five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in Kanpur, replaced Munaf Patel who was part of the squad for the ODI series against Australia. There were several changes made to the team that was eliminated in the first friend of the World Twenty20 in England this year. Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan and Ravindra Jadeja were left out and replaced by fast bowlers Dinda, Sreesanth, Tyagi and allrounder R Ashwin. Squad for first two ODIs: MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Nehra, Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha, Sudeep Tyagi, Virat Kohli. Twenty20 squad: MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Yusuf Pathan, R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Ashish Nehra, Sreesanth, Ashok Dinda, Sudeep Tyagi, Pragyan Ojha, Rohit Sharma.

Gud squad for ODIs,although wanted to see Irfan back T20s.no Zak?wth is Dinda doing there:omg:why is Ishant selected for T20s n not ODIs.also Rohit?why not Pandey or Uthappa
Got to agree with your concerns. Nice to see Ashwin in there though, think he is a good bowler and deserved recognition.

As much as I like Sreesanth, he will be a big flop in ODIs (unless we prepare some helpful pitches). Though, he might not be any worse than Ishant. Best of luck to him in case he gets a game.
agree.Sree, like Ishant is a test bowler.he has tendency of giving one loose ball every over.irfan should've been tried, not coz hes any better, but he offers solidity at no.7 n is a much better fielder

yeah Ashwin is a good pick.he can bat too.if he does well' date='he can be a good backup for Bhajji[/quote'] Agreed, and frankly Bhajji really needs that pressure, he has been average in limited overs cricket for quite some time (granted sometimes he is told to bowl a restrictive line but on the whole he is not getting the most out of his talent at ODI level). Hope Ashwin can do a good job.

Now wait till we overbowl Sreesanth into the dust - I mean WTF do you need him to play bilateral T20s!!
That is exactly what i was worrying about when Ishant was picked for one dayers at the start of his career. They should allow these guys to evolve at the test level. Playing them in all formats not only tire them out also affects their growth.

They have some specialists like Praveen Kumar' date=' Nehra for these things. Although i have this crazy belief that Praveen could do well in Tests as well. His first class record is very impressive.[/quote'] That belief is not crazy at all. He'd have easily outbowled the Zak-Sree duo of today.

Btw.. do they consider ICL returns for T20? I was so impressed with R.Satish's six hitting ability. And also T.P.Singh was very impressive. They could have taken a punt on them.
not until june next year they'll have to play a year of dom. cricket before bing considered again Sathish is indeed impressive tho
