Karan114
So far: 10 Tests, 14 innings, 754 runs at 68, 2 centuries and 7 fifties! When not playing as captain he averages 33 in 30 Tests and 48 innings, 1 hundred! Link to comment
Sachinism
Awesome record as captain, to go with his ODI record as captain. Guess he enjoys the added pressure Link to comment
Fontaine
Whether it's his wicket keeping or his batting, the guy is a machine. India are very lucky to have him. Link to comment
The Outsider
Dhoni has really improved as a batsman. He failed earlier outside India, but I am pretty sure he will do well when we tour next. Link to comment
Karan114
I'm pretty confident he will do decently in the Carribean, was surprisingly poor in 2006 but I guess he was still a newcomer to Test cricket then. Aus and SA will be the big tests for him. Link to comment
Captain of Bhangra
It's all falling into place with this team, isn't it? Quality almost everywhere. The bowling still looks a little suspect at times, and there is the odd day when the batting can misfire, but for the most part, this team is turning into a juggernaut... Link to comment
ludhianvi
Dhoni has really matured in his approach as a Test batsman. Previously, he would let the pressure get the better of him and to get out of a tough situation, he would try to hit all out in the hope of a six or a boundary. Remember the 3rd test, India vs England in Mumbai? He literally threw his wicket against Shane Udal. 44.4 not this time! tossed up, Dhoni comes down the track and swings hard, ball clips the edge and flies down to long-off, this time Panesar judges it to perfection and nicely settles under it, Dhoni throws his gun into the water bucket and rides on - India seven down, England on the verge of a memorable win here 92/7 Well one can argue that all the big shots had failed in the second innings but the Dhoni of today, would not throw his wicket like that IMO. That is the level of maturity and metal power I am speaking of. Yuvraj should learn a lesson or two from Dhoni. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
Yuvraj should learn a lesson or two from Dhoni. Yuvi's main problem is not mental. It is more technical. If Yuvi practices hours and hours of defensive shots he will definitely become a much more solid batsman. Link to comment
Karan114
Another interesting statistic is that of keepers with 2000 Test runs, Dhoni has the fifth highest average - and Sangakarra at 40.48 is only slightly ahead of Dhoni's 40.29. Ames, Gilchrist and Flower above them. Link to comment
