champ
todays match there was an ugly incident between benn, johnson and haddin and whatever might have happened .. all looked guilty .. but no surprises .. benn is charged with level2 offence and may be docked a game .. and again no surprises .. johnson and haddin face only level1 offence .. possibly a fine .. even previously gambhir was the bigger culprit than watson .. dravid the bigger culprit than slater .. this is clear double standards .. why are the Oz players escaping like this .. the article on cricinfo http://www.cricinfo.com/ausvwi09/content/current/story/439990.html i mean .. :WTF: Link to comment
Sachinism
This has always been the case, Asian players have always faced heavier fines and a lot less leniancy Link to comment
Karan114
Saw the video on the other thread. Pathetic but not in the least surprising. Link to comment

I still remember how can ICC chief come out of nowhere to ban Afridi when match referee took no action . :dontknow: Link to comment

Celeste
What was the incident??? http://www.cricinfo.com/rsavpak/content/current/story/279870.html The charge was laid by ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed and relates to an incident which took place after Afridi was dismissed during the first match of the current series. As he walked up the steps TV pictures showed him push his bat towards a spectator after something had been said to the player. Link to comment
saneindian
Chris Broad is the match ref. We don't need to go beyond this. Don't be surprised if MJ and Haddin are let off as they were "adding spice to the game" and trying to play aggressively which comes naturally to the Aussies and Benn gets a ban for bringing the game into disrepute. Sachinism
Just saw the vid, **** ICC How does Benn get a more harsh punishment. What a load of crap Link to comment
champ
haddin is tiny ***** .. he is over rated crap .. and johnson clearly first pushed benn with his shoulder and then with hand .. these 2 needed to be punished .. :finger: Link to comment
SRT PWNS
The decision seems typical I guess. Not sure why Haddin and Johnson are getting punished here, but whatever, not my team, don't care. Link to comment
99.94
Benn was obviously more guilty than the othert two so is it not logical that he recieves worse punishment? Benn also pleaded not guilty whereas H and J pleaded guilty and so got off lighter. Link to comment
Laaloo
I have a quick question. Was Lee ever punished for that beamer thrown at Sachin during the CB series? Link to comment

Haddin had no business pointing his bat at Benn and that is offensive (might not be to you, but in a "gentlemen's" game I would consider it as a punishable act). I do agree with you that Benn went quite OTT, but his actions were triggered by saint Haddins' bat pointing heroics. Link to comment

99.94
I have a quick question. Was Lee ever punished for that beamer thrown at Sachin during the CB series? Was Sreesanth ever punished for the beamer he threw a Pieterson? It's a beamer, it happens and it was completely accidental (as was Sreesanth's). Get over it. Link to comment
graphic23
And how many beamers had Sreesanth thrown until then, btw? 0. Brett Lee had a record of throwing beamers (I distinctly remember one at Trescothick(?) right after the '06 Ashes, I think), and one at McCullum, etc. Link to comment
