cowboysfan
we will win most ODI matches if the pitch has something init for the bowlers.our batsmen are superior to all teams . We can win if te pitch assists the spinners.as evidence check our wins in consecutive series in Sri lanka. we can win if the pitch has good bounce and offers some assistance to our medium pace trundlers. yet we continue to see flat tracks in all of our ODI venues.we lost the series against the aussies because of it.the mind just boggles at the stupidity of BCCI in handicapping our bowlers. The Dark Horse
Unless we try some bench warmers, we are not going to get any better. Rotating the same pool of bowlers again and again will not help. Link to comment

cowboysfan
Dhoni does have some say in the pithces prepared. Clearly he is happy with flat tracks well he is mistaken or plain nuts to think we can consistently win on these patta wickets especially in tournaments where one batting mini collapse means we are out of the tournament . If pitch has something Guwahati will happen 170 all out, It is all about intensity, aussies who won series 4-2 did not beat India to punch like they did in their heyday, every game except one India had a chance, but Intensity was missing , even today the same bowlers bowled with lot of intensity and fielded with intensity. If they had bowled with same aggressiveness they could have won this match.some of them like Nehra and Praveen Kumar, have to know their limitations , even Zaheer , he has been horrible for first 15 overs. Zaheer if doesnt get wicket early and somebody take attack , he leaks runs. Link to comment
