It was discussed after last match too.. there were two threads made in the last match which was later on merged .. for bowling we can invest in pace academies but dont know any solution for the fielding .. tried almost everything but our fieding never seems to improve.. not surprised as our domestic and IPL fielding quality is even more pathetic

Its a real worry!! Our new ball bowlingh has been crap in ODIS. Not now for some 6 months, But no one's bothered abt it as long as we keep winning, doesnt matter even if the win is an ugly one!! Nehra thnx for ur services to the Indian team for the last 6 months. We are more dan satisfied u can leave now. Praveen isnt gud enuf with the new ball !! And he is doing no good to the team, He sud also leave. ZAK has been awsum in tests since his cumback, But not in ODIs, He has been poor with the new ball!! 2 of the bowlers i have mentioned above have been with the team for nearly 10 years, still theyh dont knw how to bowl with the new ball!! If these experienced guys cant do the job Y arent we trying bench warmers?? P.S. :Am talking abt New ball bowling only!!

The state of the fielding and bowling is frankly sad and embarassing and what makes it even bleaker is that there is no prosect of any short or medium term improvement. The team resemble beached whales in the field and I have seen oil tankers move quicker. Khan is the prime example of the lack of fitness in the squad - his body shape is embarassing for a supposed international athlete. There is zero anticipation when fielding, throws are weak and wild and backing up non-existent. The bowling just resembles trundlers and non-spinners. India will never win any limited over tournament with bowling that resembles the threat of a cuddly toy. Line and length is ignored, there is little intensity and boundaries away like xmas presents. The current squad is beyond redemption and any hope lies in future generations who will place a greater emphasis on fitness, athleticism and body conditioning. International cricketers are supposed to be full time athletes and until that is ingrained in the psyche there will be no sustained success.

that is aready the case for raina' date=' jadeja, let see what is kholi....[/quote'] i don't rate jadeja much as a feilder, he is ordinary raina is not the same he used to be, hasn't hit the stumps once in 10 attempts kohli is an attacking feilder, but he has a 'habit' of dropping first potential breakthroughs
