All records at multiplexes have been smashed as it records collections which are just unbelievable. Many multiplexes have recorded double the collections of Ghajini for the first Friday. The first day business was an unimaginable 12.75 crore nett. The previous record for the first Friday was 9.25 crore nett recorded by Ghajini last December. It must be noted that the Three Idiots first day was a Christmas Day holiday while Ghajini first Friday was a normal day but even accounting for that, it is still a phenomenal collection. This takes the Three Idiots total to 15.50 crore nett with paid previews (2.75 crore nett) and the weekend seems to be heading for 37-39 crore nett collections which is out of this world.

When I go to movies, I am looking for 2 things. after I finish the movie, I should feel good and if movie has message, thats Sone Pe Suhega. This movie is extremly well made. Hirani is genious. It has some melodramatic scenes, but still movie is 9.5/10 To Lords, I have read the book and the movie has been inspired from it, but movie has different story altogether. For example in book Ryan played by Rancho Aamir did not have lady love, but here Aamri has the lady love. Well go and watch it you won't regret it. only 10% is taken from the book

Desi Cartman Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I didnt get senti watching the movie maybe cuz my parents never asked me to become anything.. really my brother went to IIT but I never got told that I also have to become an engineer or a doctor .... Movie is like an upgraded version of MunnaBhai .. end was a little drama. Actors were too old for their roles ...Overall 4/5.

Aamir is great in this movie and inspite of being about 45, he can still pass as a college kid. He is supported well by Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and of course Boman Irani. Kareena is good too. And Hats off to Hirani for delivering another fantastic entertainer. Script, screenplay and dialogues are just too good. My college life was flashing in front of my eyes while watching this movie. And I agree with some that there are some melodramatic scenes but they are very few and even in those there are some entertaining moments. this is one of the best movies made. I would highly recommend this movie. I will go to see this movie in the theatre again.

Aamir doesn't look 18, but looks passable as a 28 yr old lecturer. The movie will be a All-time blockbuster despite all the negatives. Brilliant work by Hirani for pulling it through. Could have waited for the DVD and watched it in my toilet doing early morning ritual.

ViruRulez Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Aamir started promoting his movies because he could understand that promotion increases the success of movies even more .. genuine Bollywood movie fans would watch an Aamir Khan almost for sure .. but the benefit of extensive publicity is that even the dormant movie goers also start watching the movie.. SRK gave blockbusters and even all time blockbusters with his crap acting due to extensive publicity while Aamir's movies only reached blockbuster level even being perhaps the best actor in Bollywood .. but he did extensive publicity for the first time in Ghajini and it became an all time Blockbuster .... so he is doing even more publicity this time .. maybe he wants to all possible records nowadays :giggle: .. he is trying to prove himself as the most important person in Bollywood and thats why he is doing this maybe :dontknow: ... he also made the mega-premiere of 3 Idiots yesterday and the whole industry biggies were at the premiere As I said his movies are now continuously all time blockbusters after he has started promoting his movies. The movie has already grossed around 110 crores gross and 51 crores net within 4 days while smashing all records one by one and is emerging as perhaps the biggest blockbuster ever in Bollywood. Ghajini was also an alltime blockbuster and made 110 crores gross in 7 days I suppose but it has already crossed that in merely 4 days. Thats what promotion has done for him. SRK and Akshay must be pissing in their pants. :--D
