Whats your personal standpoint on this Doc? Do you think global warming is happening? If yes, do you think its man-made or, just the cyclical effects of the earth's temperature cycle? You being a man of Science, I'd be very interested to know what your take is on this issue. Sriram, I am obviously not a weather expert, but it seemsto me that there's too much evidence to be ignored- glaciers melting, rise in average worldwide temparatures, etc. I sense that you come across as a warming agnostic. I do not personally know whether the earth is warming up or not. Even if it was warming, I am not sure if it man made or mostly due to planets cyclical weather patterns. But, I do know this - I have no reason whatsoever to suspect the scientific community for this. I have great respect for the academics and I doubt if the 1500 scientists on the IPCC will collude with each other to lie to us on climate change. Reg. whats happening in Britain, its been a tough few months for Brown aint it? Poor man, seems like he can do nothing right. :D

BTW...I personally feel the poms are always over cautious about the weather. They close down everything when Russia and Canada function normally with higher snowfall. iEven n India public transport does function in the heaviest of floods...
