SRK is a specialist in his masala, romantic, emotional and family drama. But he has also made a statement that he can ACT too, with movies like: Chak De India and Swades. He has also improved in his comic timings. Aamir is a seasoned actor, who does justice to every type of role. No body else in Bollywood would had done justice to movies like, Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Sarfarosh and 3 idiots . But Aamir can't dance like SRK and SRK can't act like Aamir. So, u get my point. Both are the Badshah's and we must be proud that we have such great actors like SRK and Aamir. One more statement, which I would like to make, Amir can never become a good producer like SRK, as he can't sell himself like SRK. I feel SRK rules in Modesty, his easy-going nature in Media and his lobby of Producers. Aamir rules only in his PERFECTION.

SRK is the biggest brandname while Aamir isn't the downright best actor in India. He has competition from Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri & Anupam Kher, among others. SRK is also very smart and quick on his feet. Aamir isn't exactly quick on his feet. SRK rules the roost for me.

SRK has done many blockbuster movies among which some is still playing in the cinema whereas Aamir film is just good to see it once time only. SRK has fans from all the countries around the world whereas Aamir has fans only in india and barely in other countries. SRK has won 14 filmfare among which 7 is for best actor in a leading role( just 1 less than dilip kumar but the top among all present actors). Aamir has just won 7 filmfare(which the number of best actors award received by SRK) among which only 2 is for best actors. SRK is the best Actors ever and he has proved his talent not only in movies but also on shows like award ceremony and KBC(host). SRK is the best ever. SRK is a top actor for sure and gets unfair stick. He is very versatile, at the same time though he's made a fair few duds in his lifetime as TK pts out. He should make more of an effort choosing his roles. Aamir because he's a bit more choosy and generally a one film a year guy its easier to remember him as a good actor. He dosent do the cheesy romantic roles that SRK did so many of and won quadzillion awards for. Think theres not much to choose between them.
Ram Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Shah Rukh's acting abilities are wildly under-rated only because his marketing and promotional skills take precedence most of the time. To be honest, I have not seen many Shah Rukh movies in the recent past, but in the ones that I did manage to catch (Swades, Chak de), his performances were as good as any. I especially thought his portrayal of a home-sick NRI in Swades was top-class. Aamir, on the other hand, scores over Shah Rukh in his selection of scripts. After Lagaan, Aamir cleverly chose some very off-beat scripts (Mangal Pandey, Dil Chata hai, Rang De.. etc) and established a reputation as an actor who strives to do something different. That sort of niche placing in the market has proved to be an outstanding advantage for Aamir, since these days, people actually go to an Aamir film expecting something different and he hasnt disappointed people. Personally speaking, I dont think there's much to choose b/w the acting skills of between the two. Just that SRK is more of an unabashed marketer, while Aamir choses to do it in more subtle ways. And becuase SRK's rise to the top has been meteoric and his ways a bit brash, he does end up rubbing many people in the wrong ways. Apart from that, there's the plain jealousy that leads to most people hating celebs.. Personally, I like Aamir more than SRK, but I think both of them are equally outstanding performers. Comparing the box office performance to big one up over the other is missing the point, especially when there's so little chose b/w the two in terms of box office success.
