Last 12 months, the stats for these two are quite similar with MSD slightly ahead of Hussey. MSD 26 innings, 1298 runs@68 with a SR of 85 , 3 100s and 8 50s Hussey 31 innings, 1234 runs@56 with a SR of 94 , 11 50s. In matches won, Dhoni 13 innings, 859 runs@122 with a SR of 96, 2 100s and 6 50s Hussey 21 innings, 845 runs@65 with a SR of 98, 7 50s Amazingly consistent figures these for the two of them. Truly the two best ODI batsmen of the last few years.

When you consider the fact that both of them bat in the middle order, well, most of the time, that's truly remarkable. The batting PP does play its role in their numbers but that shouldn't take away any credit that they rightly deserve.

Not much to chose their either. They both have been the two best finishers in the modern game after Bevan.

Except if you have been wicket keeping for 50 overs, your back is quite screwed up, so yeah you do not think about wicket keeping, but keep thinking about your hurting back. Except that when you are the captain and batting at the time, the onus is on you to play a responsible innings, still keep thinking about strategies, and still battle with the pressure of captaincy all the time. The pressures don't just vanish when you are batting.
