Monga states in his preview that India are no.1 simply because the ICC needs a no.1...a different comment from Chappell's "long term no.1", but similar in its insinuation. discuss...

I repeat (for the umpteenth time). Sidharth Monga is a ****ing moron who should stop writing about cricket and **** off to write for English tabloids or third-rate TV shows in the USA.

Wait until April 1. Once we get the price for being ranked #1. Then who cares. We will regain before next time. B->
thats the thing. IF india win a crapload of series in succession, and keep winning, the world will slowly accept them as "the best team". the dominant australian and WI sides underwent the same process. easier said than done though.

Discuss? Discuss the fact that the writer does not even have a basic understanding of what a ranking system means? The fact that it's suddenly become fashionable to cast aspersions on the ICC ranking system after India has donned the mantle? Why wouldn't it be the case - write something against India and there are enough people to take the bait and give your website hits and revenue.

This guy went ballistic when Aus B team won in India ODIs recently' date=' but makes no mention of India C team winning B&H series in Australia in '08 and pee'ed on Gilchrist's farewell party.[/quote'] Thinks all this can stop him from being curry bashed down under:hmmm:
