'I will be back in the Indian team soon' : Irfan Pathan

Also accuracy. His main strength is not swing or pace. Accuracy is his virtue. His pitch map usually has remarkable groupings
Indeed, although the hoop swing that he used to get appears to be a thing of the past, he is still capable of swinging the ball if conditions suit. He had a good domestic season and was a star in Australia in 2007/8 - people are too keen to forget that.

well u can get into odis, but i feel we don't need an bits n pieces in tests. we need a specialist bowler who can take WICKETS. one who can provide the breakthourh when the captain needs it. and irfan is not one. we have enough batsmen so dont need more. and calling him an allrounder is like calling shewag an allrounder, even he bowls from time to time, but that doesnt make him an allrounder

Nehra, Ishant and RP Singh you call them bowlers? Cant bat, cant field and cant f****** bowl. Retard players with 0% effort. Irfan always gives his best just like Sreesanth. And you need to learn about what bowling and batting all rounder actually means. Your sehwag analogy was faulty.

We have faith in our abilities and know that we will be in the team soon.
Good on him, he needs that faith. Faith is beyond enthusiasm or confidence. Any cricketer will need to have faith in his abilities and believe he will bounce back. Confidence is something a lot of runs or wickets will give but faith nothing can give that.. it's a belief you are good enough. Tendulkar's struggle in 2006/07 and the way he bounced back and his words in one of the interview reminds me of the word "Faith". He clearly said he has "Faith" in his ability. "Faith" is something he mentioned he always had ever since he first started playing cricket.

Irfan still has loads of ability in swinging the ball. But his problem in the past few years has been his accuracy. It doesn't matter how much swing you get if two or three balls an over are going down leg side or too wide of offstump. That's the only thing holding him back. I haven't seen how he's been doing in domestic cricket but if his accuracy has improved then maybe he should get a look in an upcoming series.
