Battle of Longewala was part of the 1971 war. The thousands of miles refers to the distance between Bangladesh & Pakistan, which is India i.e. hostile territory for the neighbor during the war.

:dito: I thought sree was saying it himself and did not know the dates of the two wars .. but it was funny to hear the video maker also saying the same thing Anyways great video sree and it was an awesome accomplishment .. but the naval and ground accomplishment was the best IMO The only negative I feel was returning the 13000 sq. km of land back to the Pakis .. if we had not given back the land we won in the war then maybe there would never have been the situation that there is now and maybe it would have been a lot more peaceful

This battle was fought as a part of the larger war. On the eastern front, Pak was utterly and hopelessly defeated. But I would imagine, the western front was more or less evenly matched. Taking that into account, Pak did have tactical surprise in Longewala but still lost - thanks to a few brave souls saved our skins! So it's no mean feat. :hatsoff:

Border...you'll spend 50% of the movie watching how every Indian soldier has a hot-as-hell wife or girlfriend he's left behind. To better sum up Longewala, watch 300, and think Spartans are Indians and Persians are Pakis. Its pretty much what happens.

As inspiring as the videos are ... you are wrong to say that this was the first instance of complete air superiority displayed . I'm sure there must be instances of other instances of air superiority ... The first I can remember is the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japs. The Americans sustained very heavy losses in that battle. The second was the Battle of Midway later in the war. One where the Americans pulverized the Japs by sinking almost all their aircraft carriers. Perhaps the best example though would be the six-day war in 1967 when the Israelis took out the Egyptians, Jordanians and Syrians with an air attack that decided the fate of the war before it began.
