thanks RJ. during the recent test seriesbetween India & SA, Da rryl Cullinan was discussing about SRT Vs Punter and he was bringing up their hundreds in tests from the day Punter scored his first 100(SRT had 11 that time). BossBhai, resident statistics specialist helped us to compare the stats for both in tests. not many bothered to check the One dayers stats because everyone here knows that SRT is a different league in the shorter format.but ur stats showed how much ahead is he than all the others...Good wor

I don't think Ponting has been the same for the past 3 years now to be honest. Tendulkar is better then Ponting, but Ponting is definately one of the best.

Even though i completely hate :punter: with all my heart...speaking just as a cricketing fan i do agree with your statement....when he is in form its a treat to watch him play his strokes...ill rate him the best after sachin currently.(in tests ofc) :two_thumbs_up:

Come on now mate, don't be silly. He has been around for a long time, he has faced a lot of tough bowlers under a lot of tough circumstances and has come out on top on most occasions as well. He has achieved so much in his career, that no matter how much you may not like him, you have to respect if not him, then at least his achievements.

its relative Indians find playing in Aus tougher while Aus find playing in Ind tough.but where SRT averages 58 in Aus,Ponting averages 24 on flat highways of India/

Ponting has been playing on his home ground since the time he started playing cricket... he practices in the nets and domestic cricket with the best (australian) bowlers in the world.... so actually aussie pitches are bread n butter for him.... just for the record.... Not really, its easier to bat at home than away. You get used to the wickets, your game is moulded to work best on those surfaces
