virufan Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 There are lot of topics on how to lose weight. But nobody talks about gaining weight. Throw in your tips on this aspect. Another question is how to reduce tummy. Someone told me that doing crunches will not help as it will build muscles on the fat. Is that true?
mhr123 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 There is a very informative thread on this... go through it .. http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=89501
vvvslaxman Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Don't gain weight. That is my advice unless you are extremely under-weight.
ViruRulez Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Virufan...r u like Ishant sharma ( could be smaller version) :hmmm: :cantstop: BTW eat a lot and sleep a lot ... you will anyways gain a lot of weight if you do these two things
h4te Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 if you're a girl, get married and have kids :whack: if you're a guy, get a sex change, get married and have kids :whack:
ViruRulez Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 One more thing .. spend most of your time sitting on bed infront of your laptop .. dont do any physical work .. just sleep, eat, drink (esepecially coke etc.) and sit for the whole day in front of the computer .. you will gain a lot of weight .. also eat a lot of chicken and non-veg if you are a non-vegetarian .. eat non-veg in nearly every meal if possible and even in snacks etc. at time .. go for pizza, burger and all oily foods

Ishant Sharma should book an appointment with you
Nova Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I concur with ViruRulez that just sitting and eating will make you a whale...but that's not the healthy option. Your metabolism will take a hit and you will gain more fat. Instead, eat a lot and do strength training (weight lifting). Increase in weight should be in the form of muscle gain. And there is no thing called spot reduction for tummy. Crunches will strengthen your underlying abs but to loose fat you must do high impact cardio. That's the sure way of losing fat. There are two approaches: 1. Bulking: to increase muscle - eat more and do strength training (without cardio) 2. Cutting: to decrease fat - eat less and do strength training (with cardio) You have to find the right combination there.

virufan Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 So you are underweight but have a fat tummy ? :hmmm: :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Good observation. No. I am not underweight but moderate. Want to gain more. As far as tummy is concerned, it is very less but want to make it flat and build my abs.
