I have gone through horrible horrible slump in my career. There is one thing i learnt is harder you work luckier you get. That is 100% true. Just keep working. All of a sudden you will get a break. Most of my breaks were absolutely miraculous. But i got all my breaks when i worked hard. May be it is a coincidence. But you never stop working. Once you get into the habit of idling very hard to come back.

This is the BEST thread I've read on ICF. The quotes et al and the advices are excellent. Don't worry bro. Hang in there. Success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint in a cloud of doubt. Read this thread whenever you feel down. It will lift you up :two_thumbs_up:

Dude maybe it could be you're so eager to get the job, you're putting unnecessary pressure on yourself for the interviews. Try going into a job interview a bit more relaxed and not thinking its the end of the world if you don't get the job.

No clue as to why ‘unemployment’ or ‘joblessness’ is considered as some sort of unqualified disaster among Indians. Its very rare that people go through the complete cycle of their professional life being employed 100% of the time. If any of us go jobless, the immediate instinctive reaction is to think ‘Oh dear.. all my buddies have jobs.. They’re racing ahead in life, while I am stuck here jobless.. My life’s doomed… :((‘. Life rarely works in linear terms. If you get the right break at the right time, you can leapfrog people who seemed to be eons ‘ahead’ of you in a matter of months. I have seen guys who have completely transformed their professional lives 100% in a matter of 12-15 months. If you’re unemployed, which it is absolutely ok to be, the key is to be relentless in job search every single day and be absolutely prepared for any opportunity that might come. You don’t want to be in a situation where you’re called for an interview and you half-heartedly go there sleepy and unkempt. That’s just unacceptable.
