Pak_Forever Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Haven't seen this guy bowling. Anyone got a good few over link? Consistently hitting 145kph is impressive enough. He should stay away from MRF academies and Parasad. He needs to go for pace and only pace and not usual line/length swing.

hari504504 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I hope is not rushed in pre-maturely into the national side' date=' let him develop first.... remember Ishant & Irfan[/quote'] Why do you think they were rushed in early ? ..they played a few seasons of domestic tourneys before getting into the national squad.. But with Umesh and the flat tracks on offer in domestic - it is only a matter of time before he is injured with something bad like a stress fracture and/or someone feeds him the wisdom of sacrifcing pace for longetivity... We need to take a chance at some point... History has shown that phaasht bowlers + Domestic seasons*(2|3|4) = Munaf Patel
Malcolm Merlyn Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Does anybody have a video of this guy bowling? Haven't seen this guy bowling. Anyone got a good few over link? Ranjha Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 The desperation for phasssst bowlers...................
Ahmed Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 The desperation for phasssst bowlers................... Yes too much desperation. Just let the young boys bowl and enjoy their games. No need to put preassure on them. Look what you guys have done to Ishant Sharma?
f.b.m Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I made a thread on him last year. Good to see tailunt coming through..
vishalvirsingh Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 finally umesh is in the indian team.. i wish he plays against srilanka ...Vishal
Lord Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 i'm sure he'll play tomorrow.n more sure that he'll get spanked on that slow pitch
mastana Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 The desperation for phasssst bowlers................... Yeah just look at the Australian fast bowling attack first.
vishalvirsingh Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 in case he plays(umesh) .. I am sure he would take 2 wickets or more and not give more than 28 runs .. and i can tell you that would be a decent start for him.. he has more control than srisanth and ishant and he seems faster then both .. he is stronger than either of them

St.Lucia is not the place to blood him..we'll destroy his morale on that kind of pitch first-up
King Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Too much information far too soon. Let him play first, get some consistent results then we can start talking about him.
Guest OriginalPrince Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 hopefully this guy is not another false dawn for india. I don't understand how pakistan and india can share the same genes and pakistan can produce quick bowlers and india can't. it's just not fun watching spinners bowl all the time.
Pak_Forever Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 where did you learn that nugget of wisdom? Trust me the last thing you want from your young upcoming pacer is concentration on line & length. :winky:
mastana Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 lol he is still in Nagpur. BCCI babus were too lazy to send him. :hysterical:
Serani Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 So, say now he is 90MPH, he gets his Indian call up, after a year he is down to mid 80's and after 2 he is down to low 80's. The story of India fast bowlers, biggest example Ishant "I want to bowl 100MPH" Sharma.

Serani Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Not after he gets loads of money for no apparent reason and bowls in IPL getting spanked everywhere on flat wickets.
maheshw Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I just watched some his bowling videos. Has anyone else noticed that he has 2 different bowling actions? The quick yorker to Parthiv Patel was an absolute beauty. His action was smooth, and fluid, and the pace was just unbelievable. I was surprised to see a cricket ball come out of an Indian hand that quick.
