Here's a fast bowler, regarded as one of the finest of his time. Has a phenomenal career bowling average of under 23. Was a stellar performer with the ball against the best team of his era. But surprisingly, has a bowling average of more than 40 and an SR of more than 90 in the 4th innings of Test matches. It's just about guessing. It would be more fun if you guys don't use Cricinfo StatsGuru to find the answer. If there's no one able to answer it with 100% confidence, I'll reveal the name at 6:00 PM (IST) tonight. A small hint. He didn't make his debut in the 80's or the 90's. So that disqualifies all modern day bowlers (Ambrose, Walsh, Waqar, Akram, McGrath, Donald, McGrath, etc).

P.S. Before someone tries to derail the thread (which I'm absolutely sure of, cough**Patriot**cough), let me tell you that Tendulkar averages 36.72 with 3 centuries in 4th innings of Test matches. There's three batsman in the same era considered to be good/great who have lower/similar averages in the 4th innings of Test matches (Lara - 35.12, Inzi - 37.69, Sehwag - 30.33 ). Also, there have been specialist batsman in the past who made a name for themselves with similar career averages (Naseer Hussain, Michael Atherton). Hence, we can safely say that Tendulkar's batting average in the 4th innings of Test matches is at least Test standard. But the bowler whom I'm talking of has a bowling average of more than 40 and SR of more than 90 in 4th innings of Test matches. I don't think anyone of you will be able to find another bowler considered to be good/great with such a pathetic bowling average in 4th innings of Test matches. Nor has any specialist bowler made a name for himself by having a career bowling average of above 40.
