The dude’s probably 37-38, which is well past the peak age for a fast bowler, gets injured every time he raises a hand and if that isn’t enough, there’s the long list of hilarious medical conditions. Its been a good 2-3 years since he last represented Pakistan in test cricket and probably has played a seasons’ worth of international cricket in the last 10 years put together. After all this, he still wants to make a comeback? But that isn’t the most preposterous part of this whole thing. Go to any Pakistani forum and start a poll on whether they want Shoaib Akhtar back and you can bet your bottom dollar that a significant number of faithful yet deluded ‘fans’ would vote ‘Yes’. This, despite all the collateral damage he has caused to his team and country in the last decade.

The main question here - Is Shoaib Akhtar stand even remote chance, physical fitness and body conditioning wise, to last an entire tournament of T20s, let alone tests and ODIs? Probably not.
