A surprising fact - Cambridge (and Episcopal Divinity School) admits morons like me

Firstly' date=' the purpose of prose should be to convey and not confound. [/quote'] Thank you for explaining that to him Gunner. Obviously his esteemed educational system at Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge MA has not yet taught him Orwell's basic rules for writing.

Term' date=' not semester. I was a classicist not a philosopher.[/quote'] It hardly matters old chap, it has already been established that you know very little about either subject.

as evidenced by? Does India even have universities?
Nalanda and Taxila come to mind. But, you would have never heard about them. Such is your ignorance, padawan.

your assumption that everyone who has been there is posh. (I should apologise for quoting you and directing at you a comment when in fact I should have quoted the post above yours)
Your assumption or mine?
Most people (in Britain) have few problems in understanding me...perhaps your lack of comprehension is more a comment on your own grasp of the language as opposed to mine? ;)
One could aslo make the case for ill constructed prose however I will leave you to ponder on that.
ok simply put' date=' the point I was making was that it was not guaranteed that bodyline would be unpopular - indeed some people might say it was scapegoated - the field itself was not in use at the height of the controversy in Adelaide - the problem was the fact that two of the best fast bowlers ever were bowling short - its a bit like the short pitched bowling controversy with the Windies in the 80s - the point is that Jardine did not and could not have known how serious the controversy would be: therefore with hindsight we can say it to have been a bad thing, but were we to act with foresight then perhaps not.[/quote'] There is no question of hindsight when the MCC sent an apology to the australian cricket board in the midst of the tour. The only person scapegoated (sic) was Larwood. Both your history and philosophy are unsustainable.

what do you know on the subject of classics? Nothing I would imagine.
I hardly intend to debate classics or philosophy in a cricket forum however I am unable to refrain from pointing out the unsubstantiated leap of faith on your part.

nor would I hope to - but some people claimed I knew nothing on the subject so I merely responded. I want to discuss cricket - why don't you start a fresh cricket related thread so we could discuss the game I am sure for which we have a shared passion.
What do you know about cricket? You are a muppet and a troll . England is a joke nation :haha::giggle::hysterical:

satyam I don't know what you think you are gaining by saying England is a joke nation...when in world terms it is far more desirable to live in and more respected than India. Regarding my cricket knowledge - I would suspect that is gained by years of playing and watching the game.
No England is not far more respected than India. Who told you ? :haha::hysterical::giggle: And how much well you play cricket is summed up by pathetic performance of your cricket team.In the same World India ranks no.1 and England no. 5 in both test and ODI. :hysterical::haha:

Why will i apply for visa for that country ? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: All Indian top university have collaboration with American and German university not some *****y third class England university . :hysterical::dance::haha::yay::eyedance::cantstop::giggle:
Oxford and Cambridge are like the top universities in the world, I wish I could go next year but am not a super nerd, in fact one person from my sixth form is going to oxbridge and is so smart he actually thinks he is a robot.

Mate' date=' I would give it a go - so long as you have ok GCSE's and AS levels the interview is tough but fair - you would have a good chance:)[/quote'] Already applied and ready to go off to the University of Manchester, just got my A-Levels to do.

No racial mudslinging allowed. Stop posting further on this topic. If you have anything else to say, do so without resorting to calling each other's countries all sorts of nonsense filled with racial remarks. Mastana, :emc: will ban you if you say things like "future moderator"

Doesn't matter. No racial mudslinging. If you think he instigated it, surely with your Cambridge background, you ought to be able to know that one should not respond to them, and should just report them to the moderators. Or is etiquette not a class taught at Cambridge ?

your computer saves posts to the hard drive....how old is that?
Why, are they still using Magnetic Tapes and 5.25" Floppy Disks at Cambridge? And why would I save your brilliant posts on my computer in the first place?
