mastana Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 After Sania and Shoaib Malik landed in Pakistan. This has happened so far.... Security officials reached late like Indian films: Sania KARACHI: A big mismanagement was seen on the arrival of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza here at the Jinnah International Airport on Thursday. People crowded the international terminal to get a glimpse of their favourite stars but the security officials controlled the situation. People were standing inside the airport taking banners to welcome the newly-wed couple. Sania said while talking with airport officials and media that the security officials reached late here also like Indian films. She said that she is grateful to Pakistani people for giving a warm welcome here. Shoaib said that they would stay in Pakistan for a week. Meanwhile, the government has given Shoaib and Sania the status of official guests in Islamabad and reserved a room for them at a five-star hotel. Earlier, the booking for a room at another five-star hotel made by Shoaib Malik has been cancelled. The Indian high commission will host a dinner in the honour of Shoaib and Sania in Islamabad today. Besides, the newly-wed couple’s meeting with the president and the prime minister is also expected in the capital where their activities are being kept secret. http://www.thenews.com.pk/updates.asp?id=103435 Pakistanis leave Sania in tears Newly married star sports couple Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik met Pakistan T20 skipper Shahid Malik here at the National Cricket Academy and wished him luck for the upcoming ICC World T20 Championship, which would be played in the West Indies from April 30 to May 16. Talking to Geo News, Afridi said the couple wished him for success in the tournament and expressed the hope that Pakistan would retain the T20 title. "I congratulated Shoaib-Sania on getting married and wished them a happy life in future," Afridi said. Afridi said that during the brief meeting Shoaib told him that he was eagerly waiting for a comeback in the national squad. Later, the newly married cross border couple had a harrowing time at the five-star hotel they are staying in Lahore, as they had to wade through hundreds of fans and 'unruly' enthusiasts who gathered outside the hotel. The rowdy behaviour of people even brought tears into Sania’s eyes at one point. http://www.gulte.com/index.php?Andhra-Political-News=pakistanis-leave-sania-in-tears&page=news_updates&link=3489 Shoaib demands Rs 35 million for valima coverage LAHORE: Former Pakistani skipper Shoaib Malik has demanded Rs 35 million in return for the coverage rights for his valima ceremony to be held today (Sunday) in Sialkot. According to a private TV channel, Shoaib has held talks with two media groups for giving coverage rights of his valima reception, however an agreement has so far not been reached. Shoaib’s brother-in-law Imran Zafar earlier said that the media would not be allowed to cover the valima. The channel said that Sania was not talking to the local media because she was bound by a contract with an Indian TV channel. Separately, as many as 12 family members of Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, including her father Imran Mirza and sister Anum Mirza, arrived in Lahore to attend her and Shoaib Malik’s valima reception. “We are extremely excited to be here in Lahore and I hope the marriage is successful,” Imran Mirza told journalists upon his arrival at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. daily times monitor http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2010%5C04%5C25%5Cstory_25-4-2010_pg7_4 :hehe: :hehe:

Vikas Bhatt Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Pakistani Electricity Board shows more balls than their Indian counterparts...... WAPDA raid Malik's residence over excessive power usage! SIALKOT: Water and Power Development Authority has raided the residence of Malik family after finding the decorations to celebrate the homecoming of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza excessive and unwarranted. Sources said that the WAPDA officials during the raid on Friday told Malik's family members that no one was allowed to use electricity in such an extravagant manner at a time when the country is reeling under acute power crisis. "The power officials immediately asked the decoration to be removed and checked all the connections in the house," a source said. The Pakistani government, in recent times, had taken several measures to conserve energy and had even announced that marriage halls would only be allowed to hold functions for three hours. The government also switched to a five-day working week with banks and governments offices to be closed on Saturday and Sunday from this weekend. Shoaib, who is in Lahore with his bride, has planned a reception in Sialkot on Sunday and then his Valima reception in Lahore on the 27th in which many dignitaries, celebrities and cricketers have been invited. "It will be interesting to see if the government gives any relaxation to Malik and his wife for their Valima reception given the sort of fan following and media interest they have caused since reaching Pakistan with even the government feting them and celebrating their marriage," another source said. Just couple of days back, the Geo news channel had reported that some high profile cricketers were pulled up by the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation for not paying their bills properly and using illegal connections although the players denied this but promptly cleared bills. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::finger:

UmarAkmal Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Sialkot district police chief Waqar Ahmed Chohan said an official order on serving only one dish at wedding receptions will be enforced in letter and spirit. "We will not allow even Shoaib to violate the ban," he said. The Punjab government introduced the one-dish rule for weddings and receptions last year as part of a series of austerity measures. Only 1 dish on such high profile walima :cantstop:. Many times in parties, rich people try to break the law by serving more dishes but police raids and take away all the free food.
Clarke Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Only 1 dish on such high profile walima :cantstop:. Many times in parties' date=' rich people try to break the law by serving more dishes but police raids and take away all the free food.[/quote'] Thats such a stupid rule. People will just make a mountain of food on the only dish they are allowed to have. If govt has to intervene, it can do so by taxing the celebrations, thus gathering some revenue out of it rather than telling people how much they can eat.
DomainK Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 They will naturally be in the lime light for sometime at least and for most parts of their lives.
Pakistan-India Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Thats such a stupid rule. People will just make a mountain of food on the only dish they are allowed to have. If govt has to intervene' date=' it can do so by taxing the celebrations, thus gathering some revenue out of it rather than telling people how much they can eat.[/quote'] actually tha rule is very well respected by all the pakistanis, we are not a super power, 30% of pakistani people dont even get two times food a day.
patriot Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Sania and he entire family are shameless publicity seeking gutter bags. For all the mocking of her perennial 1st round exits, she still " managed " stardom in India. For her and her family to have decided to seek attention by marrying a third rate tainted cricketer from an enemy country who had initially married and lied about it - Sania's family can't complain about getting mocked. They would probably enjoy it, since it involves receiving attention ! That bakerywalla's family must be laughing off their @$$es at her state. They would laugh even more when this shameless girl's marriage breaks up. LOL!
