fineleg Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Saw this in Cricinfo comments: Posted by Abhishek Banerjee on (January 08 2011, 22:16 PM GMT) I am an Indian fan and I have been trying very hard to get interested in the IPL. But, honestly I dont even understand the point in playing IPL: regional teams with a random bunch of players going bang ...bang ... bang is so boring. We should close down IPL and have a 7 test match series with South Africa. Maybe not 7, but certainly 4 at least.
Roshanrocks Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 wots he going to do? lash the players if they donot perform? :hmmm:
zaheer Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Yes they were/are. But they were phenomelons neverthless :winky: Fixed:two_thumbs_up:
coffee_rules Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 This is IPL-4, so if in 4 years it hasn't gone, in all likelihood, it will stay for some more years. So, you should all give up or give in.
ViruRulez Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 How did I miss this awesome thread last year. :hysterical: Hats off to Bumps. :adore: Just to give an idea of how exciting this so called sensations have become, I logged into my IPL site after a long gap of many months yesterday and was surprised to see that "atul sharma" was still one of the highest search terms from google even in recent days for the visitors to my website. Not to mention that the best google search time in my stats data was "why is atul sharma not playing in IPL 4" as soon as the auctions started. I am not sure if sensations and rumours such as Atul Sharma were ever actually present but for sure they will never die in the heart of the gullible fans. :giggle: Long Live IPL. :two_thumbs_up:
fineleg Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 $700,000 for Munaf Patel :headshake: Grandfather was trundling in the T20 match Ind vs SA. And his fielding was atrocious. What's the motivation to improve? Trundle with a walking stick for 4-6 weeks in I.Pu.L and pocket the crores. The next generation of trundlers will be encouraged by IPL  If you are dropped from Indian team, no big deal anyway. Long live the giggles circus and the lazy attitudes that will still get rewarded huge princely sums.
