MI4: Just what you expect from an MI film. Yeah, there are some serious plot holes - like why have two separate deals when they just wanted the bad guys to get the real codes, but it's a mistake to expect very intelligent stuff from MI. There is a whole tv series by BBC starring Jeremy Brett. These are based on the original Conan Doyle stories. Some of these are nice and the character is exactly as Conan Doyle defined it. See if you can get your hands on it. Some of the episodes are available on youtube. BBC also made some films starring Jeremy Brett. Then there are numerous other movies on original and new stories. The story is flawed, the plot was pretty patchy and at times one felt that how can anyone go past 100s of security persons and steal ? I mean its impossible. Having said that, there wasn't much masala in the action scenes which is pretty good. The only reason it would be a hit is SRK, he has done a wonderful job in this movie. However this movie is far from what people may be expecting, so my advice is - go in the theatre without much expectations and you wont come out disappointed. From what I recall, the Original plan was to give the bad guys the fake code. The ground work was already done wrt that including changing the room numbers .... When they saw an analyst who would verify the codes, they had to make a few changes and because of the ground work they had to go with the plan.
