Gaurav Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Watched Michael Moore's sicko' date=' very good film, makes me realize how lucky i am to live in GB.[/quote'] £You got that right. Plus they are friendlier in UK.
Rajiv Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Bhul Bhulayain - Superb Daeth at a funeral - OK, funny Hot Rod: Dumb
Dirty_South Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Saawariya - 6.5 / 10 ....boring movie, but the "sets" were amazing !
Lurker Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Saw the 70s Bollywood hit Pathar Aur Payal. Was smashing to see Vinod Khanna and Dharmendra as Dacoits, a semblance of times where every other movie had a "Thakur main tujhe nahin choroonga"..and lady Thakur(Thakurain - the first a being silent) the benevolent one. Good macho movie with shirt kept completely on and moustaches galore.
coffee_rules Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 £You got that right. Plus they are friendlier in UK. bah! Doctors are friendly, but I wouldn't want to get insulted with racist taunts almost everyday at work.

Lurker Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 justa caught the promo of ashutosh gowariker's next jodha akbar looks promising indeed though hrithik is a miscastabd bg score is pretty good Yeah me thinks so too. Would have loved to see Irffan Khan as the lead.
Dooks Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Talking about Movies A Classic Pic Thanks Rajeev. Miss those old days man - everything was just simple and life was good. Perhaps, I was just a child, I don't know. Would love to go back and relieve those days again I tells you.
King Tendulkar Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 If I have to watch one of Om Shanti Om or Saawariya, which one do I watch?
Cricketics Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 If I have to watch one of Om Shanti Om or Saawariya' date=' which one do I watch?[/quote'] going by reviews.. saawariya is pretty sick movie.. though i really wanted Rish kapoor's son movie to come out good, sad that didn't happen:sad_smile:
Dooks Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 If I have to watch one of Om Shanti Om or Saawariya' date=' which one do I watch?[/quote'] Neither. Save your money - if you can't, send your money to me & I will spend it wisely. Saawariya is cr@ppiest of cr@p Om Shanti Om has Shah (Vomit - OMG - I going to pass out) Rukh Khan - thu thu thu. Can't stand him. Haven't seen any of his & Sanjal Leela Bhansali's films since Devdas - which I also thought could have been 100 times better without the vomit inducing SRK - thu thu thu. BTW: Watched English - no hindi (can't stand any of the new ones although want to see Johnny Gaddar missed it at the cinemas - so waiting until the DVD comes out): American Gangster - is OK 3:10 to Yuma - OKish but bad ending. Ratatoullie - avoid - not funny even for kids.
Lurker Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 ^^ I have to watch American Gangster. Also No Country for Old Men, that seems to be cool from the trailers. Plus Coen Bros movies are generally awesome.
guju24 Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 watched OM SHANTI OM....old karz story a bit different tho...but good comady part in between...so it was overall big time masala movie...

Dooks Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 ^^ I have to watch American Gangster. Also No Country for Old Men' date=' that seems to be cool from the trailers. Plus Coen Bros movies are generally awesome.[/quote'] Yup - I like Coen brother movies although have missed their early work. Blood simple for example. American Gangster is made for Al Pacino and Robert De Niro talents,. I know Denzel Washington is black and it is about the black gangster but what I am trying to say is that that Russell (Over rated) Crowe and Denzil Washington are no match for AP & RDN - me thinks. BTW: Lurker is that your picture as avatar? Serious question not making a joke or anything.
