Feel good movie with a message...and soundtrack is nice too.. :nice: Beautifully shot and makes you wanna go on a road trip.. ooh! aah! take the world and paint it red ooh! aah! paint it red Yeah good film. Some genuinely nice bits, like where they play a prank on that guy in the toilet or when they all hum that doordarshan tune. Well acted and nice simple story

youngindia Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 War horse- wow! a memorable movie after sometime. focusses on the horse most of the time but ww1 is also portrayed to good effect like the trench war fare,suicidal charge vs entrenched strongholds and machine guns for little territory gain,the initial foolish cavalry charge,use of horses brutally to move artillery,gas attack,first usage of tanks, shelling and shell shocked soldiers. i think the blood bath, battle of somme(hitler was one of the wounded !) was portrayed for the first time in a major film.400000+ men on each side were lost in a matter of months. the first 45 mins may seem deceptive-slow moving family drama.The pace picks up once we go to WW1 france. Four days of naples- italian classic in B and W. naples residents rejoiced the fall of mussollini and end of war only to be cruelly denied by former allies ,germans. The usual nazi brutality precipitates a a revolt ,led by former italian soldiers, who first buried their weapons and then took it out for fighting the germans.luckily,the allies arrive soon enough to save naples like paris in 1944.Warsaw was not lucky as stalin's brutal calculations ensured the much more spectacular warsaw uprising failed.Some real events are depicted between dramatic and fictional. engorssing war film.

Delhi Bellly - 6.5/10 - not bad. Zindagi na Milegi Dobara - 7/10 - decent watch. The Girl in Yellow Boots - 7.5/10 - may be a bit ahead of time by Bollywood standards. Drive - 6.5/10. Decent, was expecting much more from an imdb 8/10. Hangover Part 2 - 6.5/10 - not as good as part-I. Ek Main aur ek tu. - 6.5/10. slightly better than typical Bollywood romance stuff.
