To be honest I used to like him like 5-6 years ago and then he slowly started to get indifferent, now a days he is just plain annoying. I think it's kind of natural. When you get too much of something it stats to annoy you. We just listen to these guys too frequently. Every commentator has his own phrases, mannerism. Just that it gets annoying after a certain point.

Commentators are not fans to anyone... they will support the team, which is playing well. Tomorrow, if pak plays stupid cricket, thats what the commies will speak about. every commentator will have a soft corner towards his home team. but that comes with some caustic comments being made when the same team is not doing well. Sunil gavaskar is a good example for this.
