vvvslaxman Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 IPL does make ordinary look extraordinary.so it is obvious that he would do bad at international level. No. He was picked for India even before IPL. He became popular through power hitting in Ranji one dayers and first class matches. Few of his first class exploits http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/103/103853.html http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/103/103851.html http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/124/124496.html 10fer and 183 http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/124/124539.html

He was picked for the right reasons.
achilles Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 vvvs bhai in full flow . I think Yusuf is a great player. He needs to find his feet. He is here to stay
riya Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 And he proved that he is not international class, still he is being selected to the world cup 2010 based on what?
vvvslaxman Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 And he proved that he is not international class' date='still he is being selected to the world cup 2010 based on what?[/quote'] His weakness was exposed in the IPL infact first by Praveen Kumar in South Africa. I wish he had worked on that along with his brother who is a much better batsman.
Lord Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 With his height,i think Yusuf can be a useful bowler on Barbados pitch.i think he should bowl with new ball along with PK.Even Ashraful was troubling the Aussies but can he handle the short pitch stuff while batting:nervous:
IKnowU Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 wow Who would have thought that a upcoming wonderkid Irfan would get kicked out while his brother gets in the team and fails every time.
Sid Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 With his height,i think Yusuf can be a useful bowler on Barbados pitch.i think he should bowl with new ball along with PK.Even Ashraful was troubling the Aussies but can he handle the short pitch stuff while batting:nervous: a big no

someone Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 He seemed to have taken the afradi route,, Just go out there, to get some fresh air, and try to stretch his hands while offering catch practise to opponents and then go his ac room
