vvvslaxman Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Raina should just concentrate on his strengths which is plenty.
vvvslaxman Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 why are you guys getting defensive? this thread is about raina' date=' not the west indian inability to play spin. This is how threads go offcourse.[/quote'] Why are you getting defensive? :winky: This therad is about Raina.
Serani Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Well I don't think Fleming had Tait on his mind when he made the statement!! But it will be interesting to see if Raina is smart enough to play out Tait. He should be able to make up his strike rate off the other bowlers. I sure hope thats the stratergy he adopts anyway. The whole "seeing off" will not work, Aus have 4 very quick bowlers who can all bowl short, he just has to play some shots and hope he misses his pull shots.
cowboysfan Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 this contradicts match evidence ,i will believe it when raina doesnt get into incredibly awkward stances when pulling or hooking.
Serani Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Raina always gets cramped for room when its at him, he just has nowhere to go and ends up swatting it skywards.
Karan114 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Fleming's claim will be put to the test tomorrow - not too confident myself, but let's see. Even on the slower St. Lucia pitch he was uncomfortable early on before getting into his stride after the let off of the no-ball, this is a much quicker track.
f2000560 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 boundaries are shorter in barbados :yay: raina can cowlash away to glory !!!
gult Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Time for the seniors, especially yuvi, dhoni, bhajji and zaheer to step up.
Temujin Khaghan Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 fleming is modest in saying that raina was a better batsman than him at this age... this coming from the man who made half baked underdogs give sleepless nights to the best all over the world.
Show_stopper Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 fleming is modest in saying that raina was a better batsman than him at this age... this coming from the man who made half baked underdogs give sleepless nights to the best all over the world. LOL!! I don't think he is being modest. Infact I thought it was a frank admission on Fleming's part.
99.94 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 There is only ONE GOD! The rest are just ~~~~~~~~~ "the next" "the future" "the may be" :cantstop: But the majority of Indians are polytheists..? :idunno::hmmm:
achilles Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Raina always gets cramped for room when its at him' date=' he just has nowhere to go and ends up swatting it skywards.[/quote'] fleming is modest in saying that raina was a better batsman than him at this age... this coming from the man who made half baked underdogs give sleepless nights to the best all over the world. :hatsoff: Bang On :hatsoff: Will Tait, Mitch, Nannes and Harris PHODU Raina's whistle? Lets see :hehe:
achilles Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 But the majority of Indians are polytheists..? :idunno::hmmm: Nope. (And I speak in my personal capacity)
The Outsider Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Raina, Vijay, Pandey all are clowns against quality short pitch bowling. It was shown in the last T20 and it is being shown today. Till they can learn how to step inside the line of the ball and play the hook and pull shot this is going to be a recurring theme.
Ahmed Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 WTF Raina is still the same old Raina :(( Well to be fair to him, he got a really good delivery, but this pitch isn't for subcontinent teams, will see how the lankans dealt with it later.
Ramzz Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Hahahahah the cow lasher gets pwned again by the short stuff.
achilles Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 WTF Raina is still the same old Raina :(( 1. Bheekhmanga kitna bhi ameer ho jaye, woh bheekh maagna nahi chodhta. 2. Kutte ki dum tedi ki tedi. 3. Raina is OVERRATED. 4. Raina can't play the short deliveries.
